  1. Easy peasy. No need to stress between now and disembarkation day as your brain will ruin your entire cruise if you let it.
  2. Waitlist means wait until you’re onboard to speak to your butler to be put on the list to dine wherever you wish.
  3. 😅😂🤣 I love this! First post, but already knows it’s a rough crowd here.
  4. Yup! It’s brutal out there these days. Gotta return to work in order to relax and rest up for the next trip! 😆
  5. Welcome to the Med in summer time! The best trivia session we ever on played was with children on board the Muse. We could actually answer a few questions!
  6. No. Food and beverage is not tailored to the local ports. However, you can request any local cuisine or specialty cocktail that you wish, one day in advance with the venue manager where you would like to enjoy them. If the ingredients are available, the staff will happily oblige.
  7. Yes, the vast majority of SS passengers do not choose to sail the line because of their nightlife options.
  8. In most instances, absolutely not true. They will reroute you to join the ship, if possible, but only in rare circumstances will they hold the ship for a lengthy time because a passenger’s arrival is delayed.
  9. Sometimes. Nearly every night. What instruments constitute a band in your mind? Dolce Vita
  10. They used too! I’m sure you’ll find yours is much better than what they used to provide though. 😁
  11. As stated on the Silversea website and mentioned throughout this forum, yes, there will be a mandatory “formal night” on your voyage as formal nights are only optional on 7-nights voyages in the Med. Now, with that said, I don’t think “mandatory” is the proper word to describe formal night since you do not have to wear formal attire if you don’t want to, of course. On Silver Spirit during formal nights, guests may dine in La Terrazza and choose to dress informal; dresses or pantsuits for ladies, jackets for gentlemen (tie optional). This option also applies to Seishin and Stars. You may also dine at The Grill in casual attire.
  12. Ah the joy of laziness that creates clutter. I can remember a lesson given here many, many years ago by a super seasoned passenger of Silversea that basically said, “What is easier for one may be a waste of time for another, because the one doesn’t respect the other.” In essence, it’s a matter of respect to only pose questions to those when we have exhausted our own ability to find the answer ourselves. Hence why dress code threads are “done to death” as you mentioned.
  13. What’s your source? And, do you have a link to what you read?
  14. So, THAT’s where the 35lbs. I’ve put on came from. 😁 Well done, Doctor. Enjoy your trip!
  15. 😆😆😆 The information about formal optional in Alaska (and elsewhere, by the way) has been readily available on SS’s website and reported here for years by many passengers. Definitely not “new” news.
  16. My thoughts exactly. Why is anyone worrying about a Japanese voyage that embarks Sep 2023 now on July 1st, 2022?
  17. Ah, yes, I long for the days of easy social distancing. 😉
