Why would you expect a booking agent to advise you, apparently a Florida resident, about PR birth certificates? For a period of time Hudson County, NJ, birth certificates were also in question. Not a problem for a third party who has no reason to inquire about your birth place. The question you asked was very common and wouldn't create a reason for the agent to inquire any further than ask about marriage certificate.

Our only problem was paper tags on bags after a TA cruise arriving in Black Falcon Pier in Boston. 2 bags were misplaced for more than hour. So even when departing 2 tags on each bag. Try to put in them holder also.

The problem started when some of us started getting edocs for cruises starting the last weekend in August which mentioned the higher rate. As indicated I called C&A and they were also confused as they knew nothing about an increase in gratuities. The person I talked with spoke with her supervisor and confirmed no increase. They were going to note my reservation. I think we need written confirmation.

Royal's rule is no extension cord or surge protector. What posters, including myself, are bringing on board don't violate those rules.

You are automatically charged each day for gratuities that includes dining room staff, your stateroom attendant and several others. Sometimes you may have prepaid these (look at your confirmation). You can give additional gratuities if you want. You are charged 18% gratuity for drinks you order.

To my knowledge the same rules apply that apply in the US, but we haven't tried.

Having a copy of your passport won't get you on a ship or plane. It did help the consular official in Copenhagen look me up when he was issuing me a new/temporary pass. Wallet with passport was lost or stolen from handbag as we were walking.

We've done 3 TAs on Radiance class ships cand 1 on the QM2. Sailing on Anthem in October. The Jewel this past April had only 1100+ passengers but that was probably covid related. Agree very few children on any of them. Don't buy beverage packages so can't help there. We love the long cruises. Some of our cruises were northern routes so more stops than the typical TA. We thoroughly enjoy all of them.

Used emed 3x including in Amsterdam. No problems. Will use again in August.

Stayed in Marriott Renaissance 5 nts in May. Good location.
