We did 10:30 checkin on Liberty and they sent you straight to muster station. Quick. Just make sure you watch the video before or they will go through it with you. It shows on the app that you've each completed it.
Ship's free wifi is used. On my paper cruise compass for today they ask you to scan to get departure form. I wonder how you scan that if you are already using your phone?
What they want you to do is scan a QR code and read the cruise compass that way. Use your fingers to make it big enough to read and zoom in on various sections. Not easy.
They're trying it on the Liberty and we rebelled. Getting paper. Had to make GS work to find the sheet with officers listed. Made them take my complaint about going green. They're still leaving ads in the cabins. The app isn't always correct. Not sure about scanning the QR code. Dh finally agreed to taking his phone but folding a piece of paper is still easier than dragging my phone along.
We've had some that were great, some didn’t even notice but when one was bad, it was bad. Usually it was when they got things mixed up or ignored requests that were standard with other CDs.
Yes. Which is funny when it's cdt here! As long as it shows tomorrow's date we're fine. Done this 3 times, 2x from home with Florida sailings and once in our hotel in Amsterdam in May to fly home. Used emed tests each time. No problems.
Just looked at Royal's website. Instructions for vaccinated on cruises 6 or more days says tests within 3 days. The policy change on September 5th is no testing for cruises less than 10 days. It also is in my instructions on the app on my phone
I'm a senior and use a smart phone and have checkedin using my phone. Despite that I often use my laptop to do checkin. Checkin is much easier now since they won't have to upload their vaccine card. Also don't worry about uploading a photo. They'll take picture at the pier. They can watch the muster video on their cabin TV. Then they go to muster station to checkin and see the life jacket. If you're using a travel agent they might be able to assist with checkin..
