Usually all aboard for a port stop is 30 minutes prior to sailaway. Things can change due to weather or other circumstances. All aboard from departure port is usually 90 minutes before sailaway. Hope this helps.
Enjoy your trip. We sailed her through the canal in October. Missed our Mexico stop because o. f 3 hurricanes! Captain avoided them so it was smooth sailing. We love that class of ships.
In early 2020 I sailed on Radiance around Australia with very few problems. Only needed to work a couple of hours, mostly at night. I also worked sailing from Copenhagen to Boston, again with few, if any problems.
Used Medway. Got them from a friend, who currently lives in Texas but whose family in London has used them for years. Found them reliable and their price was good. Always answered my emails very quickly.
In Australia we were required to leave the ship by 9 am and not return for 2 hrs. Did. It in Perth. In Sydney coming from NZ we were changing cabins so moved stuff but didn’t have to leave out the night before, just standard moving of stuff. And again the 2 hr requirements.
You're fine. Enjoy the trip with grandchildren. We're taking our granddaughter on the Navigator in July. She lives in Burbank and will be 11+ . She'll probably do her own packing before her parents check it. She's been cruising since she was 2 and spent Christmas break with her parents in Australia and New Zealand. Leaving her parents home on this trip.
Some of the fees aren't foreign transaction fees but the fee the credit card companies routinely charge the seller which are now being passed onto the customer. Very frustrating. When a charity passes the fee, while I'm not thrilled but I deal with it. It's the other businesses who pass the fees along that annoy me.
Bought luggage tag holders years ago. Trim the extra off, write our name, slip them in the holders. Easy to attach before leaving the hotel for the port.
Even in NA ports I've seen long lines for the people with no tags. Always try to avoid that. Before Royal up got a surprise upgrade. Called and they emailed the new tags. Printed as many as needed.
