  1. So if my wedding ceremony is scheduled at 3pm Greek time, what ship time would that be on June 13, 2023 for a ship that departed from Ravenna, Italy?
  2. I am getting married while on Santorini (symbolic wedding). We are due to be in port from 8:30-10:00pm. This cruise leaves from Ravenna, Italy. Ravenna uses Central European Time Zone while Greece uses Eastern European Time Zone, a 1 hour time difference. So if we are due into Santorini at 8:30am, what time is it on land in Greece? (And is there some sort of daylight savings that may come into play?) I am having a bit of a freak out about timing of my on land wedding.
  3. I was on an NCL Baltics cruise and a guy we became friendly with was without his luggage for a few days. it eventually caught up with him
  4. As long as I can make it to Ravenna from Venice and get on the ship, I'm good!
  5. Excellent. We are flying into Venice the day before. Thank you. Does the shuttle option show somewhere? Am I just supposed to know about it? Can I use OBC?
  6. Does Celebrity offer a shuttle from the Venice airport to Ravenna on embarkation day? Maybe the reverse trip after dropping off the passengers that just disembarked that day? I certainly hope so.
  7. Can you explain please? Why can I get one in the casino?
  8. I am mindful of the logistics of wedding attire and touring. I am keeping it pretty casual. This is neither of our's first wedding, so no need for Sunday Best. And as for "hot", we are from Texas and Florida. I imagine the heat will not e a problem for us 🙂 Thank you CruiseCrew123. That is exactly the info I need. Do you think maybe my travel agent could make the reservations or do I need to call Celebrity?
  9. I will be getting married on Santorini during our port stop on Infinity this coming June. As I will have a dozen or so family members with us for the wedding and cruise, I would like to have everyone for dinner in Tuscan Grille that evening as a sort of reception. However, I also want everyone to still be able to fully explore Santorini in addition to attending my wedding. We will be in port from 8:30am to 10:00pm. Also, sunset will be around 8:25pm and we don't want to miss that either, even if it is only from the ship. So my question is how late can I make reservations for 13 people? The info says it is open until 9:30. Do they still take reservations at 9:00pm?
  10. Yes! I had calls and emails out to various cruise line wedding people and Brian (for Princess) was very prompt in calling me back.
  11. Okay, for informational purposes, all cruise wedding people have called me back now. That's Princess, Celebrity and Royal Caribbean. Yup, Bridezilla. I actually booked my cruise with Celebrity. Now I have to figure out my wedding. But since it has to be a symbolic wedding, I won't stress over the all consuming importance of not missing the port if I have the wedding on Santorini. We will be in Santorini from 8:30am until 10:00pm, plenty of time for a wedding AND touring the island. Therefore, a Santorini wedding is very much a possibility. Not through the cruise line though. Much cheaper to book a local wedding planner
  12. I guess I am just being a Bridezilla. Celebrity returned my call. While she was exceedingly sweet, I got a whole ocean of cold water poured on me. I will NOT be having an "at sea" legal wedding. Not because it's unavailable, but becausue my fiance was born in India. He is a US citizen and has been here since 1985. However, his requirements for hoop jumping would go clear into next year. And mine, just needing a birth certificate with an apostille from NY State would take far too long. I ordered a plain old certified copy of my birth certificate yesterday and the estimated process time was MAY 23rd! And that is not even the apostille. I wanting a June wedding this year for various reasons. Not gonna happen...unless it is just a symbolic wedding on the ship and civil ceremony home in Texas. UGH! Not what I wanted, but that is the way it probably has to be.
  13. I want an "at sea" Mediterranean cruise wedding. I will need a total of 5 cabins for 8 family members plus us. I have narrowed my cruise choices down to 4. My top choice being Celebrity Infinity followed by RCCL's Explorer of the Seas and Rhapsody of the Seas (2 different dates). I can't call either of these cruise lines' wedding people. Celebrity's flat out says in a recording that they are not taking phone calls, email us. RCCL's went to voicemail yesterday and I left a message. Today, the voice mailbox is full. I have emailed both companies. There are only one sea days on each of these sailings and "at sea" weddings can only be done on sea days. I need to know if those days are available so I can book cabins. They are selling out fast...and I mean fast! Am I wrong to believe that even putting a hold on the cabins would be pointless as I might not hear back from the wedding people about wedding availability before the hold time runs out? Does anyone have recent experience with initial contact and how long did it take? As an aside, Princess returned my call in less than 24 hrs. Unfortunately the sailing I wanted (and a wedding was indeed available) is sold out.
  14. I am contemplating booking Rhapsody out of Haifa and getting married at sea while onboard in June 2023. I have read that the Haifa cruises are over 90% Israelis. I understand that all signage, menus, instructions and announcements are in both English and Hebrew. But what about shipboard activities? How are they handled? Trivia, pool games, really anything that requires audience participation? Is it not what we Americans would consider "normal" ship activities?
  15. Thanks for the replies. Part of what I'm looking for is a Bingo jackpot that they put on my sail and sign account
  16. There were a LOT more people in the water to the left of the pic. I wanted an angle with the Splendor in it, but you get the idea.
  17. I was on that cruise also. I made a mental note that there were no future cruise offers.
  18. I am just off the Spirit. In ISP, there WAS a very large amount of people in the water. I sent a picture to my daughter remarking about the crazy people. She had been on Splendor in May and Splendor was also in ISP with us. She responded that her cruise director was in the water in my pic. She said he apparently arranges this every cruise. But back in early May, there were only like 5 participants. Last week there were more like 30-40 people in the water with a hundred or more on the beach behind the restaurant. Spirit did not have anything to do with this. Sorry.
  19. Contrary to other opinions, I didn't think the gf mushroom pizza was all that bad, if you covered it with parm cheese and crushed red pepper
  20. Just off the Spirit and here are my gluten free thoughts....USELESS! I was all excited to try out the new Menu Mate for dietary allergies. The algorithms it uses are junk. Please tell me how a banana is not safe for me to eat? Oh, and the MDR lobster tail isn't safe...but the Steakhouse Selection lobster tail is? Come on! Seriously, it listed like ceasar salad, chicken breast and ice cream as the only things safe. (Exaggeration, but very small.) Whatever! So I decide to go another route and pre-order my food for the next day brunch and dinner. The MDR staff couldn't find either order. I gave up and just went with my own "gut" feelings and if I wasn't really sure, I didnt eat it.
  21. Where is the baguette? Dining room? Deli? Thanks
  22. They do if they can't have gluten, like myself
