  1. Hi, does anyone have any recommendations for the above? We prefer to Scuba, but the two shops we contacted have a 250lbs weight limit and my son and i both exceed that. We are also 6.4 and 6.5 so getting below that weight is a challenge. So any Snorkel or Snuba options that may not have those restrictions? Thanks
  2. do you have to have elite status to get those perks or do they come with the full suite?
  3. We were just talking about this last night. Does the premium package include both the medallion and the accessory or just the accessory? Also, assuming the medallion acts as your cruise card correct? thanks
  4. I know, not just 1, but 2 because we wanted our sons to have the same services. I will say, even the two suites came out to be around the price of an AI we were looking at as an alternative if we werent able to book this cruise. However, i am going to have to take a second mortgage on my house to pay for it...
  5. I agree, but according to TN-Mountains post, its on the list as complimentary, although it does show $30 so not sure how that works.
  6. Thanks for the info and it does look like most of what we would drink is on the plus package, but the premium wasnt that much more when we booked it with the cruise so we just opted for that. And if i read the menus on your previous post correctly, JW Blue is included which will more than make up for the additional price i paid. thx again
  7. Hi, Does anyone know if Princess has any enhanced shore excursions similar to Celebrity's private journeys? It basically allows you to customize your shore excursions thought the cruise line so you dont have to do it on your own and they guarantee you get back to the ship like the other ship sponsored excursions. Thanks
  8. thats a great perk. We usually spend about $200 per cruise to send out laundry because we hate it laying around the room. Maybe i can convince my wife to pack less. Not likely...
  9. To book them in their own cabin, one needs to be 21. Younger than that, the cabins have to be 'linked' then you can put younger kids in the cabin. I dont know what the cutoff age is, but 16 sounds in line of where we started doing this. I think i read somewhere that on European cruises, you can book your own cabin at 18, but i dont know what for a fact and it may depend on the country.
  10. Thanks Everyone for your help and we decided to go with the full suite per your answer above. A bit pricy, but my family needs some pampering after our last cruise fiasco... Thanks again
  11. Thats one issue, but we have booked 1 parent in each cabin for years when our kids were younger and it can be a pain to get guest services to either switch cabins, give extra cards, etc. We were on one line, I believe NCL, that told us to just switch cards which did work when ordering drinks, going to the kids club, etc. And another time we got questioned why we needed a separate cabin for our kids. I believe my wife had some choice words for that question... Anyway, we know it can be done on RCL, NCL MSC and now Princess and yes, its a pain if you dont have good TA to help, but better to do it now then having to wait in the line in guest services when you board and hope you get someone that wont give you grief about it.
  12. Just a quick follow up on this in case anyone else has the same situation. I finally found a TA that knew how to book our 2 sons, 20yo and 17yo in their own cabin. We ended up with 2 S5 Cabins and the TA booked our sons cabin with the wrong birthdate, basically making him a year older or 21 then called Princess to link the cabins and have it changed to his correct birthdate. He had to talk to a supervisor but was willing to put in the time to do that which was great. He did say that he has done this with other families with kids under 18, the cabins just had to be side by side. Ours was a little easier give one of our kids is over 18 so they didnt given him any grief about the cabins being on opposite sides of the ship. But technically, they are side by side because there is nothing in between them... thx
  13. thanks for the response everyone and im going to give it another try today. Fingers crossed.
  14. Hi, im pretty sure this is a Cruisecritic no no so hopefully it wont get deleted, but we really need some help booking our Dec 16, 2023 sky princess cruise. Our TA got promoted and the one she gave us cant figure out how to book our cabins. Neither can Princess... We are trying to book 2 cabins, side by side, with 2 adult parents in one, and 20 and 17yo kids in the one next door. We know its possible because we just did it 2 months ago on princess with our old agent, but no one, including princess, can figure out how she did it. There is a blurb below regarding their policy, but is somewhat vague so i think thats whats causing the confusion. I guess our old TA had the inside track.. Can anyone help us with this or recommend TA that has experience with this? We have tried 2 different TAs and Princess directly with no luck. The go to answer we get is book 1 parent in each cabin, but that is a pain because when we get to guest services on the ship, they usually give us attitude and say they cant do that and the TA shouldn't have booked it that way. We use to do this when our kids were young, but now that they are 20 and 17, there is no reason to do it anymore, or at least we havent had to for the last 2 years on other lines. Not to mention is messes up the drink packages, when my wife and i want to dine alone, etc. thanks
  15. Thank you so much, exactly what i needed. Thx again
  16. Does anyone know the perks that we would not get with the Reserve Mini suite vs. a full suite? I believe there is a breakfast area that isnt included and access to the concierge lounge. Those two things arent deal breakers for us, or at least not worth an extra $2k per cabin to move to a premium suite. Anything else im missing? Thanks
  17. We are trying to decide between princess plus or princess premier packages and i wanted to find out if anyone has a list/bar menu of drinks that are above $15? We are trying to figure out what drinks are not included in that $15 or less amount. On NCL or RCL, $15 or less would pretty much cover everything with a few exceptions, but im not sure if princess adjusts their prices to put more drinks above that $15 mark thx
  18. Thank you and i should have asked, do you have to pay extra for the non alcohol drinks or are they included as unlimited on the package? In keeping with the Celebrity example, their packages include everything up to a certain dollar amount with no limits so im just trying to figure out if they only thing that Princess is counting is Alcohol beverages, everything else is included and unlimited? I can go through 10 bottled waters easily in a day, especially if i somehow make it to the gym... Thanks
  19. Sorry if i missed this somewhere in this post, but do can cokes, bottle waters, etc count against your 15 drinks per day?
  20. It is possible to book a 18-20yo in a cabin as long as you are traveling with other adults and the cabin is close to the adults/parents. We did it last month on seascape. 20 and 19yo in a cabin next to ours.
  21. The one we are booking, Sky Princess, also has a window suite. The one we are looking at is in the front corner of deck 17. It actually looks nicer than that one give its a wrap around corner. The issue is, i cant get another cabin for our sons on that same floor. thx
  22. Thank you and yes, this thread helped a lot. Im glad i asked about the Mini suites because i 'assumed' they would get the same benefits. I think we are going to go with the penthouse suite and a club class mini suite for the kids. perks are similar and the ones that the mini suite doesnt include i dont think will be that big of a deal for the kids. We are definitely going to try to get the window suite next time. Didnt even know something like that even existed. thanks again for everyones help. Now if i can just get our TA to call back...
  23. Would love to try the window suite given we are rarely on the balcony. But there seems to be only 1 available for the cruise we are looking at and no smaller cabins around it for our kids. We are late in the game booking for this December.
  24. So, i know im mixing cruise lines here, but the other cruise we are considering is HAL Nieuw Amsterdam same date. You mentioned that the Vista suite doesnt get the suite perks but do you know if the Superior Verandah Suite does? I dont see the vista suite as an option on the website we use to book cruises so i wanted to make sure they just didnt rename it or something. thanks
  25. I think the one we are looking at has it. Sky Princess Dec 16th
