  1. Food was a hit or miss in the dining room.

Guys Burgers was the best meal on the ship.

Entertainment What entertainment? Main show room canned music. We saw the same shows, exactly the same, on the Glory 15 months ago.

You get what you pay for on Carnival.

Did you see (all four) Playlist Productions shows?

    -88 Keys

    -Motor City

    -Divas

    -Latin Nights

Guys Burgers was your best meal on the Breeze????? What??? LOL!!!

Did you try the Cucina del Capitano Italian restaurant? Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse? The Deli? Mongolian Wok? Fat Jimmy's C-side Bbq? Bonsai Sushi restaurant? Red Frog Pub? Blue Iguana Cantina? Brunch or breakfast in the MDR? Seuss At Sea breakfast? The Indian Tandoor? The Chef's Table? The pizza place?? Room service?

I find it EXTREMELY difficult to believe that a mere simple burger from Guy's Burgers was your best meal on the Breeze. Wow, and sheesh!!

  2. My problem? My friend is planning on taking off her regular gratuities. I'm not sure if she plans to tip the room steward daily or not. Although she's not new to cruising, she seems to have no idea how negative it is to remove gratuities. She told me on one cruise they kept running out of toilet paper - I'm wondering if this was a coincidence or not.

I wonder if your friend also received some extra saliva in her ice bucket from her cabin steward.

Or when in the MDR if she was awarded with an extra special side order of saliva in her warm chocolate melting cake....

Happens all of the time... Treat the people who serve you well.

    :)

  3. I have been on 34 cruises this was the worst ship I have been on.

The cruise was great. The staff was great .the ship was not. I hope the Drydock will help.

Other than the 6:30am cleaning issues & smoke smell issues, what makes the Valor (the worst ship you've been on?)

What are you hoping will be addressed during the next drydock?

  4.

    Hi Mary,

    The Vista hands down!!

However, the only aspect that concerns me is the massive crew change THAT WILL be taking place from November 3rd to November 5th when the Vista reaches New York and docked there for 2 days. I realize the Journeys sailing you would be on would be the sailing after that, just concerned about that large crew change & possible issues for the following week or two. The crew change is going to be huge. Having said that, Carnival has put a lot of thought & planning into the Journeys sailings & Carnival has wonderful crew fleetwide. Just hope everything would be up to par..

    :)

  5.

I find it very hard to believe that the poster above witnessed FOUR different fist fights on a 6 day sailing. I've been on 20 Carnival cruises and seen just ONE that was quickly broke up in those 20 cruises. Don't believe everything you read here.

May 17th to May 31st.. 14-day sailing. During the May 17 to May 23 sailing:

2 fist fights in the club, 1 fight there was a lot of blood.

1 fist fight in the MDR

1 fist fight in the show longe(2 women)

All fights were broken up quickly. They did occur...

By the way, the security officer I got to know, told me the brig holds 6 people on the Breeze...

  6. That is very nice of you. I am in cabin 1207...lol

Found this and forwarded it to John... Continue to enjoy your vacation...

    Hi Elaine,

I see Mr John Heald responded to you with a, 'cheers'.

Well done Elaine!!! Way to go!!

It's official, Mr Heald now knows Pauley's stateroom number.

Maybe Pauleydm will receive a complementary dinner in the steakhouse tonight. Or at the very least, a champagne toast with the captain on the bridge.

Hopefully Pauley will give us an update about this!!! Can't wait to hear.

  7. You're going to love the Breeze. Spectacular ship & crew.

Recently sailed a B2B on the Breeze, a 6 day & 8 day. Only downside was the tremendous difference between the passengers from the 6 day to the 8 day.

During the 6 day there were 4 fist fights & a lot of rude behavior by passengers to crew & passengers to other passengers. The MDR was empty most evenings, the buffet packed. During the 8 day there were no fights, awesome passengers, MDR was packed each night with people lining up to get in 20 minutes prior to opening. I can go on & on, the difference between passengers was insane (for the 6 day) and amazing (for the 8 day). It was like night & day.

Crew members have a name they refer to passengers of a 6 day or less sailing. And I don't blame them one bit.

I could not wait for the 6 day passengers to disembark. Wish I could have mixed two 8 day sailings together instead of the 6 day with the 8 day. Will never do that again. Cruise on a 6 day or less sailing at your own risk.

  8. Charter flights are still happening today for guests that want to leave the ship and will continue until 5:30.

The flights going out today are to

Orlando, Miami, Atlanta, New York and Chicago.

    Pauley,

Thank you again for another 1st hand, real time, factual update!

    :)

  9. Thank you Pauleydm for another update!!

Also, keep in mind there are many members here only reading or seeking out replies created by you. So please keep the updates coming no matter how many debates, speculation & novels are written within your post by others.

Letters stating which passengers are leaving today are currently being delivered. Originally we were told last night that we would be flown home based on "zones", but I spoke to a a Carnival Care Specialist, and was told that they are disembarking those guests that have indicated that they want to leave as soon as possible. The Fun Times for the rest of the day is being distributed as I type this. We are still waiting for clearance to go ashore.
  10. Pauleydm,

Thank goodness you came back to your post!!

Especially now when far too much speculation is occurring within it.

    :)

You are correct! I reread Pauley's post and it sounds like they are disembarking everyone today.

No, guests will disembark based on when their flight is scheduled.

    .

  11.

We are still in St Thomas. There has been no updates.

Don't stop updating us until your home!!! LOL!! And even then, in the future, you're gonna have to update all of us here where your next sailing destination will be, using the 50% off next cruise..

No matter how big or small the update, keep them coming!!!

    Thank you!

    :):):):)

  12. Hi Paulydm,

Thank you so much for your continued updates! If possible, can you try to give us updates from time to time throughout your sailing?

When I open this thread, I look for YOUR REPLIES ONLY.

You know how posts can get on here. I am sure many others are doing the same.

Thanks again for all of the updates you're providing.

    :)

  13. According to passengers onboard the Breeze, on Facebook, and a rescue video, the man was drunk at 8am, walking in & out of the pool fully dressed with regular clothes on. Security took him to his cabin go to sleep. Hours later he jumped overboard.

To find this info & rescue video, it can be found on Facebook or via a Google search.

Bottom line is...... Alcohol was the culprit.

  14. The Legend did not receive Guy's Burgers or Blue Iguana Cantina when it was in drydock last year from 2/02/14 to 2/16/14..

During that drydock the Legend received:

    Cherry On Top

    Bonsai Sushi

    Red Frog Rum Pub

    Playlist Productions

    Waterworks

    Hasbro Game Show

And some other renovations & hotel maintenence, new carpets, new fitness center equipment, etc etc...

  15. Ahhhhhh.... door slamming. I hate it.. Most people don't even realize they are doing it. I live in an apartment, door slamming & other sources of noise when living in close quarters is more prominent & makes people 'More Aware' that are being affected.. I'm not saying that people that live in houses are unaware or oblivious to close quarter living, I'm just trying to make some sort of comparison to make a point that MANY people are just unaware how they are when it comes to slamming a door shut instead of closing it gently.

Apartment examples: My neighbors that lives above me, well when they drop their toilet seat down, it's a loud bang on my ceiling. When they unload or load their dishwasher, it sounds as if they are bowling above me. I can go on & on... But the bottom line is, people are just unaware how loud or aggressive their everyday day actions are until they are living in tight quarters..
