Agree.. i cancelled my UnitedChase fee card along with Marriott. Got non fee united card. Cash back cards seem the way to go rather than trying to use ff miles that keep going up. I have about 275,000 as does my wife. Unable to get business from sfo to Lhr. When we use these miles, we are done with united frequent flier program. Will choose an airline based on price and services.

We booked Oceania Oct 1. 17 day cruise because it only had 1 sea day. They also overnight in Bordeaux. Generally stay longer in ports. Most Princess cruises half half sea days. Wife would be bored and would not go. I would have a hard time selling her on a transatlantic.

Princess is after people who are looking for a low price. Too many sea days, less time in ports and poor food.

Agree. Booked United Premium plus for trip from sfo to lhr in Sept. thought about business but cost was too much. They sent me an upgrade offer for $990.00 pp one way. Since flight leaves at noon and we don't need to sleep probably wont do it but still thinking about it. Anyone flown United Premium Plus? Looks much better than coach.

I am doing my own air and going 5 days early, spending some time in Bath. Staying two nights after the cruise in Bilbao Spain. Air on united but have to take Lufthansa out to Frankfurt to catch united to sfo. Only one hour connection time could be a problem but hoping for the best . Maybe by Oct 21 things will be better. If something goes wrong and I have to stay in Frankfurt for a day or two, its ok.hopefully United and Lufthansa gates are close

You miss the ship, you have to go to the next port. I would assume O Air and they would pay for it.
