Yes. That is correct.  As an alternative you can fly into Bologna, italy about an hour or so shuttle ride.  

There is a website called cruiseplum that allows this, however unless you can sail out of Galveston prices are outrageous.

Just put a www and a dot com around cruiseplum.

But looking at different Alaskan sailings, found one for 1000.00 r/t to Vancouver FIRST CLASS.

So you were not able to get the free tesla ride to the station using premium?  Once in Miami, how did you get to the port?

Question on the hotel, Did they offer a free airport shuttle?  How did you sign up for the 10 am shuttle?

I consistently track prices for suites, and Star.  The 1st and 2nd passenger prices now are outrageous unless you want to sail from Galveston.  Throw in KSF and the cruise becomes much cheaper in the suites for afamily of 4 under 12.  These suites are selling for sure on the newer ships.  Even the older non CK ships suite prices are very high, while the balcony, ov and interiors are pretty good deals.

I normally go to the dining room after boarding to see where the table is so I don't have to wait in the long line waiting to be escorted to the table.  There are normally Head Waiters at the podium on boarding day.

My sister returned on 12/24 to fll and sat at the airport for 5 hours until they said the plane was not coming due to staffing.  They were lucky, SW gave them 2 hotel rooms, meal vouchers.  They got their luggage back since it was not loaded on a plane. Then the flights 2 days later were cancelled and they rented a car to go to Ft Meyers and were able to get out on the only flight of the day on 12/26.

Yes to both.  Coastal Kitchen was dead most night other than Lobster night when 75 percent of the tables at our seating were full.

Go to one of the vans.  Much more economical and flexible.  We just did this.
