Looking back to the mid 70's going into the 80's ,makes you wonder what went wrong with our towns . Ours used to have 4 cafes a restaurant and a steak house (evenings) all run by the council. Now we have out of town shopping centres and fast food outlets . The towns not too bad if you like betting shops charities and a town centre Tesco where everyone parks to save paying the council carparks . Progress ? Onwards and upwards as they say 🤔😒

What they need is a cunning plan . I would treat myself to a mini wine fridge from Currys , on purchase they offer to dispose of your old fridge for £15 😉

Morning 12.c wet and looking bleak this morning. Think autumn is here now. Weird people can pop up when you least expect them . The other day we were traveling towards our local school, which has road ramps and a zebra crossing . It was about 11 am and we were doing about 20 mph , which we do near any school entrance , no other cars in sight . A lady came out of the school gates ,looked towards our car and walked as fast as she could towards the crossing as though she was in a rush to cross the road. By now we had stopped at the crossing,so she could cross over. Now with a few yards to the crossing she took the tiniest steps,stopped did the green cross code , then gazed up into the sky for another ten seconds or so , then she looked at us whilst dipping her toe onto the crossing like it was a swimming pool before stepping back . Then just calmly walked off with a big grin on her face . What was all that about ? I expect it maybe with young children but a fully grown woman ? Just plain weird !🤔

Morning 😃 The temperature has really dropped over night 5.c but our living room is just a bit over 19.c so no need to fire the CH up yet, All this talk of hats reminds me of when as a child,my dad had a ashtray that was a rowing boat. As he never used it I would play with it and put it on my head like a hat . Of course it did not fit ,that was until I found out ,if I turned it upside down ,........ then it was cap sized 🙃😉 Have a good day 🙂

Yep you could have right fun with them . A couple stood looking at a picture and said .. " Look at the state of her , Oh dear " As I was stood next to them i replied " That's my auntie Joyce ,all she was doing is having a good time ! " It was great to see them squirm and apologize,whilst looking mortified and tell me how sorry they were. Only for me to tell them as I walked away ,"No problem I just made the whole thing up "🤣

Morning all, I too was in the wide awake club at 3:30 am due to Mrs K waking up to a sore arm (injection site) and complaining of being cold and shivering . I went into paramedic mode , got up made her a drink and gave her paracetamol. She seems a bit better this morning and the good news is she only has one sore arm 🙃 Me thinks next week I will be keeping myself right well dosed up for the first 24 hours when I go for my jabs . Ours is Flow Flex kits and expire this year in Dec . They picked up my infection in less than a minute . I personally will not be throwing ours away but will not use after Nov this year. Just seems a waste ,if I was in any doubt then buy a new kit to use alongside .

@zap99 I hope your toe is much better as we do not hear much about you and your toe. If you do not want to talk about it ,we do understand after all the trauma you went through at the time of the mishap.🙃

That's Mrs K Jabbed up for the season . When in hospital the other week a nurse told her to take two paracetamol before going for her jabs,helps with any soreness and temperatures. Once in the nurse said "one in each arm ?" Mrs K said "No both in the left as I like to sleep on the right arm." The nurse said her and most who work in the practice have gone for one arm but this years fashion seems to be folk prefer two sore arms to one .🙃 As she had been such a brave girl I've took her out for lunch .She went for her lasagne n chips, whilst I had the beef n turkey carvery . I would have had the green beans but they did not have any ..Honest or I would have been there chomping on them . I have to put photo on or as Andy says "it did not happen "🙂😉

I would say 8.30am . We watched our neighbour mowing his lawn and my wife said "look at him I'm sure he's crying " I think he was just going through a rough patch .🙃

That's the problem ,you will never know if it was the shrimp dish or was it the coffee cup or the Covid symptoms that you are suffering. The last one knocked me sideways and I have only just began to feel normal. I was blaming the air con ,then a woman who sneezed near me or a lift that filled with people when I was in it. I will never know. Hope your symptoms fade soon and you get back to normal.
