Sat sweltering ,so thought I would research other cruisers ,that are different and has to be cheap but VIP for us with private boat transfers, that are cheap also . This has to be a winner at 12$ about under a tenner .Amazing value if you ignore the dead cow . Just a bit cloudy 21.c but with 27.c on the horizon it's going to be a bright day . Talking of brightening things up .. The wife asked hubby if he'd put the Wheelie bin out ? He said "Not yet, I'll do it later ". She then asked" what about the cat?" .... "I'll ask him but I don't think he's strong enough to push it!" 🤣 Here's one for all you ladies who go cruising ,leaving your man at home in charge ☹️ She asks her husband, "How’s my cat doing?" Just read on Trust-pilot and that problem seems commonplace with the coach company . I have just looked at the coach companies FAQ and one reads .. Your selected question What should I do if I miss my coach? If you miss your coach, please contact the emergency phone number on your travel voucher and we will do our best to assist you. Maybe some kind person who is in possession of the above could give you this number to try ? Good luck

Morning all 🙂 @Beckett it is true ,the famous Sunderland sea fret where you see naff all . It was 16.c that morning and 16,c in the afternoon .😉 Talk about things that come in 3s ? We had the small TV give up , then the fridge freezer but happy to say that got delivered yesterday and is working fine. Unlike our CH boiler which died on us yesterday, so after 29 years ,we now need a new one. There will be a bit more work due to the gas pipe being on 15mm and the new ones using 20mm feed . Apart from that we are fine and treat us self to a chippy meal , got in the car and our car temp read 31.c due to it parked in the sun but once we had been going for about five minutes it then read 28c which was still hot and we were glad to get back home into the shade . On TV they said this weather will break up on Sunday and records show the last time September was like this around here was in 1911 . What were they doing back then to cause global warming ??🤔🤔 Anyway chill out and have a good day folks🙂

We had reason to go down to Woodhall services (M1 S) the Sheffield pick up point. They have their coach pick up point to the rear of the services ,which is very exposed to the elements and the pavements to it have seen better days ,for people pulling luggage, no shelter . . Think if I was using them I would prefer to stay the night before at the Days Inn ,knowing I was not at the mercy of a taxi being late or not showing up. That would be a 350 yard walk from hotel to coach park .

Morning ,it's a bit misty this morning 15.c here . I had a pretty good nights sleep to say it was warm overnight .We just slept under a thin cover and I woke up feeling fine as I do most mornings . Some of you may think "Does he ever wake up grumpy ?" The answer is no I let her wake up in her own time.🙃 Have a good day everyone ,hope Michelle your grandson got home and is not in too much discomfort .Take care everyone 🙂

Morning ,that was a really good sunrise with a strong orange glow . Just gave the birds plenty of cool fresh water ,which the Blackbirds seem happy with . I like early mornings that are like this, seems fresh 13.c at the moment . Have a good day everyone 🙂

That's the case ,then why were all those folk sleeping on an airport floor and not in a 2 star dump ? Somethings not right is it ? I repeat they could have done better but I will leave it at that . Note Seems to be covering the same as the now closed thread about Britannia breaking her lines .

I agree they could have done better but even Airlines with their passenger delays , I fear would not be looking at putting them in 4-5* hotels either. Looking on tv at the news that night they also were happy to leave them sleeping on the airport floor . Why when all these hotels were available ? Going on CAA site they are so vague quoting ,if you were to go it alone ,you have to keep costs reasonable for food and lodgings ,if you expect recompense from them . I suspect they use "reasonable " when everyone knows it isn't, not just for the cruisers but the poor souls spending over a night and day on an airport floor .

Far too hot for me but I just find a bit of shade . I was kicked out of the cinema today just because I took my own food! My argument was the prices they charge there are outrageous, and besides I haven't had a barbecue for ages. 🙃😆 I was just grilling a chicken but it still wouldn't tell me why it crossed the road ? 😉 28.c now here ,so take care when out and about .

We now travel down the day before but used to travel same day .What changed us was one time we stopped at Cherwell services for a break . On leaving and joining the motorway looking in my rear view mirror I could see the motorway was blocked due to an accident . We had just missed it . Onboard the ship the sail away was delayed due to coaches that were delayed due to that accident . So as far as I know they do wait for the coaches .

A lot of times we can be going out in the car ,switch on ignition and it's there ,look at her phone and it's there . I am talking about the time 11:11 Not sure what it means ,that many things, but one I read says "means all is well " and with a sea view like that, sat with your loved one gazing out to sea munching on your butties .. I guess that explains it 😍😀🙂

When you contact them ask for a final date statement with time, dates and venues , to be e-mailed to you . Be interesting to see where they think your wife spent this money once you had left the ship .🤔 ??

Morning🙂 Hope everyone's doing ok this morning and those off on holiday have a good time . Must be a nice feeling thinking "At last" from booking waiting for today to come. Werther your sat at home online or going to the Travel agents ,that "I've booked" is a good feeling . The wife and I very first met in a travel agents , she had gone looking for a holiday and ended up with me ,as a last resort 🙃 Now for my gripe ! They just do not make things like they used to 😞 Only last week the small TV in our bedroom went kaput . This week Mrs K informs me we have a new fridge freezer coming as ours is playing up and on it's way out .😞 I wouldn't mind but we have only had them for about 20 years .😞😉 Neer mind as they say .
