Good Morning Everyone, thanks for the daily fleet report. A winter storm is heading our way. We are expecting mostly rain but a bit north of us will be getting ice and snow. I’m almost in sync with today’s meal suggestion, I thawing a cooked turkey breast for dinner tonight. I look forward to @dfish pictures and recipes for new ideas. It’s going to be another “fun filled” day at work so I expect to be busy. I’ve enjoyed meeting new friends on several cruises on a dam ship and I hope to make new ones in the future. I hope everyone has a good day today.

This happened to me in June on the Zaandam. It’s hardly a 5* star perk if everyone can get it.

The angst wasn’t from me, it was the other person you quoted. I’d be hesitant to book again if HAL did this to me.

@albingirlin my world $200 is a significant sum of money to leave on the table. While I’d still enjoy the cruise it would make me hesitant to book with them again. @richrhon1 I’d have a similar reaction as you. Plenty of places to spend my vacation dollars.

Good Afternoon Everyone, thanks for the daily fleet report. While I only had one scheduled meeting this morning it was a busy one. Today’s meal suggestion sounds good to me. DH makes a dish that is very similar to the first one from @dfish recipes. It’s been a mostly sunny day today with some sprinkles scattered just to keep you guessing. The card wasn’t compromised but HAL charges. A card that I used for HAl was compromised and the refunds from HAL used the compromised card number and the credits were applied to the replacement card with no action needed by me.

Good Morning Everyone, thanks for the daily fleet report. Today is an in office day, I’ll make good use of the work printer. Yesterday we paid for our May Zaandam cruise. I’m curious about today’s meal suggestion so will wait for pictures and recipes from @dfish to see if it appeals, I like the lamb chops in Tamarind but not at our local Greek restaurant. @trtog7 I’ve had credit cards that have been compromised with HAL charges. When refunds came HAL used the old number and the bank applied the credit to my account. It might take an extra day or two depending on your bank.

Good Morning Everyone, thanks for the daily fleet report. Like @Mr. Bostonwe woke up to a nice coating of snow and it’s still coming down, this is the most we’ve gotten this winter. Today’s meal suggestion sounds good to me, DH would pick out the mushrooms. I wish I could celebrate do nothing day but it is a work day for me. Yesterday we did manage to put everything back into the attic. It was a tight fit since we lost most of the available storage space. Over time it will encourage us to declutter it a bit. Good Morning Everyone, thanks for the daily fleet report. I’m curious about today’s meal suggestion and look forward to pictures and recipes from @dfish. I’m making a pork roast that is marinating. Yesterday the work crew showed up a little early and didn’t finish until 2. They put in a new insulation and a vent for the attic and another vent for the bathroom fan. Today’s chore will be to put back the stuff in the attic. They also closed up some gaps that allowed heat to escape. We now have a third of the space for storage but that should be ok. For those in MA the free home energy audit is worth the time. A trip to Aldi and Pet Smart are my errands today. I hope everyone has a good day today.

Good Morning Everyone, thanks for the daily fleet report. It was nice watching our BHB come into port this morning, Mona made sure I was awake. Today’s meal suggestion is something I like a lot but don’t get very often. The best I’ve had was in an Irish pub in Batavia, NY, I’m sure the beer helped. The installation of more insulation in the attic was moved from Monday to today. This works better for us since I can pay attention and make sure the cats stay inside. I will not attempt to dress any of the cats. It would not go well.

The Rotterdam looks equally nice coming into port this morning.

The Nieuw Statendam looks good coming into port. Rotterdam is close behind.

If you are giving them pills try pill pockets. I have to give River her pill twice a day and that is the only way she’ll take the pill. They have chicken, salmon and catnip flavored pockets.

Good Morning Jacqui, I’m glad that you safely back at home. Thank you for all you do with this thread! While on the NA we booked the May 20, 2023 7 Day Historic Coasts on the Zaandam. We decided to book this on the cheap and have an OV, seeing if these are ok for retirement. At least we aren’t too far from the promenade deck.

I’ve done the math on this a few times. I find that without gratuity it’s borderline at best. We typically drink during happy hour so those prices are reduced. I also consider our discount for specialty dinners. You if your excursion is cancelled and there are no replacements then that $100 is lost. I booked our next cruise while on the NA without HIA and since it was during the Black Friday sale we have gratuity and ship board credit.
