We are also followed along! We will join the Reflection in Barca for 19 nts in September. We were last on her last September almost identical itinerary and had a great time. Interested to hear if this vibration is still causing concern. Hope you have a lovely time, enjoy the sunshine and bring some back with you! Dianne

Thanks for this! We have booked a number of b2b criuises and will sail in September on Reflection as a b2b. I could not remember if I received the $100 reduction on both legs was booked well in advance. Looking at another for next March which I will book on board so I will ask for the discount.

Hi fellow cruisers, As anyone booked a b2b recently? Just wondering if you still get a discount. Regards,Dianne

Hi, so what was your opinion of the cruise? We had a lovely time but not in a hurry to book Oceania again! Dianne -

First time on Oceania--what are your best tips?
di T replied to anonymousegirl's topic in Oceania Cruises
we are sailing Nautica (so one of the smaller ships) Only two speciality restaurants Polo Grill which was just ok.Much preferred the Toscana (Italian) The pasta of the day I had as a small portion before my Entrée of sea bass was lovely. just find it strange that every time I ask in the morning the guy on the reservation desks says fully booked! We would have liked to visit Toscana one more time.We are in an ordinary category stateroom so no butler but I have heard some say they have had dinner most nights in the specials. Haven’t asked today as it’s the last night and a sea day, but we have had a lovely time.Dianne -
First time on Oceania--what are your best tips?

Pinotlover, thanks for stating this.We are on the last two days of our first Oceania, and have been a bit disappointed on the food! We booked our two speciality restaurants before boarding. One was very nice the other not.But I have tried every day to get a reservation for the one we enjoyed and every time have been told fully booked. The service has been excellent by all the staff and we have had a great time as we always do.But I haven’t looked to book with them while on the ship which is unusual, so maybe not for us.Dianne -
We are Elite plus with Celebrity and have travelled mostly with them over the last 15 years. On our first Oceania cruise at the moment, food, ambience and service have so far been wonderful (on our 3rd day) said to my hubby it’s like Celebrity was when we first started cruising with them. But there are a few minor cons for us, the bathroom especially the shower is tiny and the music around the ship is a bit old fashioned. But will probably book with them again.Next cruises are in September on Reflection so will be interesting to see if we book Celebrity again for next year!

We live in the very north of England in the Lake District. The weather for the last 3 weeks as been very hot and only a couple of showers over the last month. We leave tomorrow for our cruise out of Barcelona and this heat wave will hopefully help us to acclimatise. Hopefully you will still get lovely weather on your cruise, even if it rains it shouldn’t be cold.I would take a brolly and a light jacket but also some summer clothes.Enjoy.

I’ve asked e number of times what my options are, and they said no refund or voucher,we could book by February 2024 which would be 12 months from the original trip, as long as the fare was more expensive and we paid £100 administration fee, We had to travel by 24thFeb 2024.So seemed too much hassle. My outbound flights were one way to Lisbon from Manchester ( we live in the north of England)these were with TAPportugal air lines they said no refund of fare but I have asked for baggage and tax back admin charge I think is approx £60, flight home was British airways from Rome to London so was a bit of a journey back to where we live. They have been very quick at refunding the tax only, but still lost quite a bit due to admin charges. But hey when I asked on the phone British airways told me I would get a euro back in total!

DCGuy64, NCL we’re very good at refunding the money from the cruise in a very efficient time. But the flights were cancelled because of their decision, I tried my insurance and like as been said on here the cruise line were responsible for out of pocket expense due to the redeployment. After a lot of emails and calls I kept getting pushed back! Tonight I received an email from head office in Miami, asking for proof of cancellation and original booking confirmation etc. to be forwarded to them. They say they are offering up to$300 per person toward the loss as a good will gesture.Tomorrow I will send all the information I have to them and hopefully will be a happy bunny😊

I hope to enjoy trying Oceania in a weeks time, but have a b2b in early September with Celebrity which I hope we will enjoy as much has last September, same ship and very similar itinerary. We have been Elite plus for the last 5 years and don’t think we will ever get to move up to Zenith,As for RCL we have enjoyed all our cruise with them as well. -
Celebrity Reflection bookings appear VERY under-capacity
di T replied to Les43's topic in Celebrity Cruises
Our Reflection cruises in September(b2b)first one has availability but the second one looks very full. -
, Yesterday I had an email to tell me NCL would not help with refunding the flights as I had booked independent flights so must go through the travel insurance. I had already tried the insurance before I contacted the cruise line, insurance declined the claim and said NCL were responsible! Today I phoned Southampton office, the lady I spoke too said it was an insurance claim and they could do nothing.Very disappointing, I once had a cruise cancelled through redeployment this was with Celebrity my independent flights were lost that time as well. But Celebrity covered my loss.
