  1. Yea we came home from Reflection with the COVID and it was a lot worse than the last time we both had it! But been back 3 weeks so over it now and ready to pack for the next one in just over two weeks😃Life’s good
  2. Seaview it’s out of Barcelona which is a port we cruise from a lot!
  3. Thanks for that I will watch it now!
  4. No we haven’t and if I book this it will be a first for MSC for us. In fact although I’ve booked many b2b cruises they have always been on the same ship and usually staying in the same cabin, I like to put together our trips myself so add hotels in the embarkation ports or at the end of the cruises, book my own flights etc.Did Oceania earlier this year and it was lovely but found the ship a bit too small and the cruise was expensive.
  5. Will have a wee look, thankyou!
  6. I’m looking at a yacht club cruise for next year followed by a cruise on Accent which we can board from the same port as we disembark MSC,Have never fancied MSC but the Yacht club looks good, anyone with experience of this? Thanks.

    Status match

Hi thinking of booking yacht club next summer, we are elite plus on Celebrity does anyone know what the status match would be? Also do you have to book direct with MSC to get it? Thanks in advance,Dianne
  8. One night during our b2b last month on Reflection the buffet had a Portuguese theme and that was one of the best meals in 19 nights! Who would have thought the OVC would be better than the MDR a short time ago? Not us for sure, looked on the second cruise for the same offering but alas it did not happen.
  9. Same last month on Reflection, still had a lovely time but did not book a future cruise while on the ship for first time in years.
  10. Our first 4 cruises after the startup noticed no sparkling wine on boarding but on Septembers b2b there was bottles on most bars for a complementary flute, This was Reflection, and thankfully the cold towels and cool drinks in ports when going back on the ship! I love this.On Oceania in June when it was very hot we weren’t offered this.
  11. Hank, we sailed our first Oceania cruise in June, but it was on one of the R class and we were a bit disappointed the food was a step up from our usual lines, except for the lamb chops in the specialty restaurant they were the worst in 50 + cruises lol. But the shower wow! We are both quite neat but that shower was so small! Looking at the new ship is it Vista?think I like the idea of a slightly bigger ship would not book R class again, but happy to try some of the new brands in the future.
  12. This is our daily routine for breakfast! Hubby only has an espresso and a fruit plate(he goes to the gym most mornings after breakfast) I have smoked salmon or cheese plate brown toast and butter no bagel and a glass of fiz! I don’t do the gym just a walk.round the decks. Love the captains club breakfast!
  13. We had the prime rib on the first night and it was good, but the first chic night I had the lamb it was poor! Not much of a choice for a Chic night, only went in the MDR once more on both our cruises on Reflection last month! Have 4 Celebrity booked for 2024 don’t think I’ll book anymore with them, trying other brands.
  14. hcat we were on last month and all our elite plus benefits were just as before! Cafe Al Bacio and the vouchers for casino, plus all the other you have mentioned and the internet minutes.Have a great cruise!
  15. Chemmo! That’s what it needs distemper, lol but to be honest Celebrity need to address all these problems with the food and the ships, or we will all be looking elsewhere.
  16. Yes this is how it is! On NCL I will go with the free at sea but this year on Oceania we paid as we went so drank less and paid for the ones on the ship😂Also on Celebrity where we have high status we just added any extra drinks to our bill!
  17. Yea missed the half price offer! Do they do that often?
  18. Not free in the Uk $199 per person I believe for our next cruise
  19. That’s exactly what they have done! In September our first nights menu was the third night from above (just a ten night cruise),prime rib and it was as good as always. But the menu went downhill from then on.We we’re on the next cruise a nine night and booked speciality, and even went to the buffet for nearly every night because the menu was so poor. The always available only ever used to have the salmon in the past if there was nothing I fancied on the main menu.Tried it on the first cruise and it was overcooked, this was toward the end of the first cruise.I didn’t send it back we just went to the buffet for a snack instead.
  20. Last time we used the offer and bought onboard credit, On the last day they gave us all the dollars(about 700) we had left in cash! We asked for it back on the card but seems they couldn’t do that.Trouble was we had 3 days after the cruise booked in Lisbon, don’t like having a lot of cash when travelling. But think I’d do it again the cash back on to my Amex was very nice.
  21. Would like to know this too, nothing so far on mine. But have had it before, fingers crossed 🤞
  22. The class thing is definitely something I do not like! I’m looking at the larger ships in the premium and up lines, Happy sailing to you too! Next one for us just a month away.
  23. Wow this is so what we found! Booked O because we thought the food especially would be so good, but we were also a bit disappointed and I must say the ship was too small.Looked forward to be back on Celebrity at half the price but oh my food was really poor, we eat well at home and like to holiday in the Med here we can eat fresh well cooked food and stay there for a fraction of the cruise cost! So moving forward think we might just cruise a third of the time and just enjoy our land holls the other 10 weeks of the year.
