I can't really speak to that; I understand what you are saying, but we go to many restaurants and often get a drink without ordering food. As a matter of fact I have never been told "you have to order food to get a drink"
Just because the money is going to “employee programs” doesn’t change the fact, in my mind, that the cruise line is taking case from the pockets of those I wish to reward, to pay for things, that ultimately are the responsibility of the corporation. Again, just my thoughts; and we all have choices.

When the MDR starts providing food and service like Capital Grille, then maybe we can discuss an upgraded dress code, but as it is, the MDR is an Applebees.
For the record, I have had dinner @ Capital Grille and Del Frisco's the past several months, and wore shorts both times.
Plant based dining on Royal Caribbean (all ships) is nearly non existent. It is a handful of options recirculated all week; and the culinary staff has absolutely zero idea how to prepare them properly.
