  1. So then, according to the post i originally reference; a travel operator would need to familiarize themselves with the travel policies of every client in order to prevent being complicit in negating policies and becoming liable for any claims that would have originally been handled by that policy????
  2. Am I reading this right? Are you saying Royal would be liable for any claims you may have due to your travel insurance being negated by a stop in a port on the FCDO "do not travel" list?
  3. Royal cancelling stops does not mean Labadee is unsafe. Personal safety during a port stop was WAAAYYYYYY down the list in this decision making process.
  4. Dining requests, regardless of ship, are handled by a centralized office. Email them, NO MORE than 2 weeks prior to embarkation with your ship, reservation number and request. rcldining@rccl.com
  5. PDCC is a well recognized and often used abbreviation on this and many other cruise boards. It is also used on travel booking sites listing cruise itineraries
  6. What?? All these ports take the mega ships on a regular basis. That said, I do LOVE the southern itineraries out of San Juan
  7. 3 cruises from 2 different embarkation points thus far in 2024, have yet to have anyone care what my assigned arrival time was.
  8. You can purchase refreshment package a few days into the cruise but will have to buy it for the remaining days; no, everyone in the cabin is not required to purchase.
  9. You paid for "X" days on a ship, nothing more; stop trying to create a financial loss where none exists. Using your faulty reasoning, Royal should charge you a "fuel surcharge" because they are going to burn much more fuel on your journey than they had originally budgeted for.
  10. I still don't understand why you feel you are owed a reduction in price, it is an unrealistic expectation
  11. Why would they offer you a reduced cruise rate? I can’t imagine what type of upgrade you may be talking about.
  12. All true about GT; however if you wanted a quiet day on the beach with an open bar and your drink package; Labadee is better. Again, it all depends on what one is looking for.
  13. It all depends what you are looking for
  14. Has been a recognized abbreviation for some years now
  15. Only in designated areas, there are “smoking benches” scattered here and there away from other people
  16. You can have turn down service if you want, just tell your stateroom attendant that you want evening service instead of morning service; unless you are in a suite you only get one or the other. Chocolates have been gone for nearly a decade, I would guess. I have several dozen hotel nights a year due to business travel, and haven't had daily service for years; it is usually every 2-3 days, or upon request.
