We’ll be on the Fantasy at the end of November. The bad internet in February would not have been unexpected but many other lines have added Starlink since then. We were on a Princess Norway cruise for the past two weeks and the internet was wonderful.

I would definitely do Chef's Table and Cheers, and research the excursions that look good and do independently, that way you don't have to choose 🙂 The independent excursions will be more specific to you and that way you don't have to deny yourself anything 🙂

Hi, wondering if any current cruisers have noticed an improvement in Wi-Fi on DCL ships? Most likely cruising in late November and need reliable internet. TIA.

Willdra's Heavenly Carnival Horizon Apr. 29-May 7 Cruise Review

Thank-you for the already great review. -
We’re on Sky Princess right now and having a lovely time but both DH and I remarked that crowds were less on RCL Oasis class. YMMV.

Sensor lights on Sky Princess - who thought this was a good idea?

Sensor lights on Sky Princess - who thought this was a good idea?

On the Sky now, both DH and I hate the lights. He’s taken to wearing the eye mask he received on the flight over. -
The menus look great, but tbh I will miss the fried oysters.

We arrived around 11 am, at Hilton Garden Inn watching the flights take off. Really wished we’d have gone to Southampton today but didn’t know how DS would be after the 10 hour flight. For anyone wondering about Virgin Premium Economy we were impressed, not much of a difference between AA first class.

For All of You Griping About Cutbacks on Carnival....

Yes! I hate whipped butter. That is an excellent change. -
Totally agree, thanks all 🙂

I've always used the outdoor parking and never had an issue. I will not drive in San Francisco or pay the crazy parking so bart is my goto.
-
We're in Sacramento and drive to the Dublin-Pleasanton light rail station and take bart to Embarcadero station. From there either a short Uber or walk, depending on the amount of luggage. Leaving Thursday for Sky Princess out of Southhampton and taking bart to SFO. DH wasn't for it until I showed him the difference in parking-$433 at SFO vs. $66 at bart station.

@TxTeach79 and @HelloItsMeB Thank-you for a wonderful review. I very much enjoyed reading about your adventures. Right now envying you for your upcoming dinner, the menu looked amazing! -
I can relate to this. There are a few land trips I'd like to take, walking the Southwest Coast Path and the Camino, and time in Germany, and I'd also like to do some river cruising but to get even a glimpse of all the places I'd like to see I think mainstream cruising is the way for my family as well.

I have a disabled adult DS. We cannot have hiccups when we travel as a family. I've always been adventurous, am actually an inspiration for co-workers on taking trips solo. Sorry, I'm old enough to remember when you could count on a plane ticket, we aren't there anymore.

I did solo Chef’s Table on Panorama and met the nicest people. I ended up eating at JiJi’s with one of the couples a few nights later and @TxTeach79 is right, the atmosphere lends itself to camaraderie. I was solo on that trip but would have to go by myself even if DH was on the cruise. He doesn’t go for three hour meals. A must do for me going forward. -
Fingers crossed @MeganGC1983 I am seriously thinking about never flying long distance again after what I've read this week on CC. We'll just do cruises we can drive to, or where there are many, many flights per day. That is so not me 😞

TxTeach79's Pride LIVE 5/28: Post Drydock European Adventure!

I've never understood this. When I'm on/off the ship I have my phone in my pocket. The phone case has enough room for ship card, credit cards, I.D. and some cash. I do the same at Disney, so much easier to get through the gate. Also, I HATE carrying things or having to watch out for them at a restaurant, in a tour bus, etc... -

Can you ask to change your Chef's Table day? On Panorama they seemed pretty flexible. -

I'm feeling positive about both yours and B's bag. At the very least BA has realized they need to move them. BTW, hotel looks amazing. The one time we were in Barcelona we stayed downtown in an elegant old style hotel. It was great, close to things, lots of amenities, but your hotel looks more interesting. -

Okay, we are definitely going carry on for our flight in three weeks. While I wouldn't mind shopping in Europe I'm 5"11, DH is 6'4" and DS is 6'3". While I could probably find things for them I cannot skip into a store and find jeans/slacks etc... to fit my 35" inseam. I will make good use of the Princess laundry rooms.
