  1. May be from this port you'll get back by tender.... (This being the port we were tendered to in order to get to Oia. But our tour ended with the cable car in Fira.)
  2. Excellent news that she's home, Mark. It means that the pneumonia is now under control. Being so young, I'm sure she'll make a swift and complete recovery. Sending positive thoughts to your daughter. She has enough on her plate as it is....
  3. No.... it wasn't, though I think I've seen it on the general board. @mets07 -- Congratulations on the birth of your fourth granddaughter. Wishing you healthy many more 🌹 @Luckynana -- Congrats, Maryann. Hopefully, all your grandkids will make you proud time and again 🌼 @TravelGirlinDallas -- 🤞 Bethany for a healthy and enjoyable cruise. @Lionesss -- Sue, positive energy and thoughts crossing the pond towards O-H-I-O 😘 A very urban and perfect sunset today....
  4. @Jimbo Jim, + 😢 [ I didn't want to quote all the compassionate and beautiful posts, even though they represent my thoughts (((( )))) ]
  5. While vacationing in Cyprus last summer, I've noticed that many holiday makers were feeding the enormous number of stray cats along the beach.... Every few meters there was a big gathering of lots of "homeless" and friendly cats --
  6. Beautiful, beautiful cats. Nice to meet you, S & G 😘 + 1 😢 @ReneeFLL, Renee & Mike It's an excellent step. As I repeatedly said, I've always been for difficult compromises in order to reach peace with our neighbors. Human lives are worth much more than ancient stones. Sadly, those who don't serve and don't bear the heavy price of human losses and injuries in wars, set the belligerent tone...😪
  7. "Inventory" .... @jagsfan Mimi, glad to see you posting. Missed you 😘 @h20skibum Mark, positive thoughts your way 🌹 @LucasLikesToCruise warmest regards 🌼 * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * @DaniDanielle Marietta, Happy Birthday to Charlie. Wishing you a wonderful celebration 😘💐
  8. Again, check your "facts". Israel cannot afford the luxury of those "CO". Otherwise, nobody will serve. Why spend 3 years in the army, risking your life, when you could start to earn a living, or study, or just travel the world?? The handful of "CO" serve... but in jail.
  9. That's indeed a great honor. Here, in military cemeteries, a "civil" lot is allocated only for parents of fallen soldiers. Not spouses. Instead of Veterans Day, we have a day of mourning for fallen soldiers, when restaurants, theaters, shops are closed, and we observe also 2 minutes of silence.
  10. Pls. check your "facts". The Israeli army doesn't have a West Point, therefore no "COs". You enroll, start your service, and if the army see you fit, the army sends you to "officers' school". The army service is compulsory, unless you're a married woman (at 18 years....) or for medical reasons.
  11. I've downloaded Connelly, and he is always my first priority. It's years since I've read a DeMille book, absolutely loved all the early ones -- Plum Island, The Gold Coast, The General's Daughter, etc. This one has, so far, only 4* on Amazon. Connelly is more "constant" for me. Just finished an excellent Grisham -- The Guardians. Highly recommended. Started the newest Robert Crais, so far, a "constant" like Connelly.
  12. Same here, Bonnie ( @BonTexasNY). Bummer. Really, it is very rare. Just your "luck"... Would you go to the same doctor?? At least, good news about your ankle 👍
  13. We've had very good experience with debarking in "Civvi" early. However, since you mentioned September, friends of ours debarked Sept. 29th at half past noon, due to high seas preventing Wonder OTS to dock. They had a very late flight back, and booked Romeinlimo at 9AM for a full day of touring Rome. Didn't happen.
  14. Yes, it is my understanding that mortgage banks sometimes send an appraiser, depending on the amount you're asking them to provide.... The only mortgage we ever took was in 1973, when we got married, and it was for a young couples special subsidized plan. The flats were build by the Ministry of Housing, which took care of all the formalities, and you had to buy them "as is". It was a small flat, 4rd floor, no elevator... After 7 years we were relocated to Brussels, had very nice salaries for 5 years, saved enough to buy another flat without mortgage 😉
  15. May be protection from serious illness/hospitalization... I had my initial vaccinations in January 2021. Then in August, 1st booster. Second in January 2022. Caught Covid end of June 2022, so less than 6 months after the 2nd. Eligible for 3rd booster. On the fence...
  16. Such a lovely picture. And being able to travel with your kids, and they getting along together -- priceless. Enjoy every moment with them!! 🌹
