No Portland excursion listed?
dani negreanu replied to storkington's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Including the Portland Museum of Art, which was very interesting -- https://www.portlandmuseum.org/ -
May be my friend Jim ( @Jim_Iain) can chime in ?? Thanks in advance 🌷 Mark, I feel for your DIL... The longest we've been in a plane was 15.5 direct flight from Tel Aviv to LAX. Our DS1 was FA, and we could afford BC. Even in BC, I can't sleep, it's not that you have complete silence and comfort. Luckily, it was mostly night time, since usually flights crossing the "pond" leave after 11PM. When we flew BC to Sydney [no direct flights anyhow between Tel Aviv and Sydney], we could have had a lay over of just 2 hours in HK and then continue, with Qantas, to Sydney. My DH, who has many BC hours under his belt and doesn't hate flying like me [he falls immediately asleep in ALL conditions 😉], insisted that he wants to spend at least one night in a real bed, and we broke the trip with a one night stay in HK...

So true. There was a time when one way was much more expensive then return, and also "prone" to upgrading. Then the airlines started to sell by "legs" and not return.... OK.... Yesterday I was pricing one way tickets to Morocco [the return flight is at 11PM, we don't "do" night flights anymore, so we're considering returning from another country...], and noticed a drop in price in comparison to last week. When I phoned, they told me that yes, there is a drop in price, but only if I buy "return"... I said: "but you're selling the tickets by 'legs', and not by 'return' " !!! She said "yes, but we take into consideration that if you buy 'return', we gain more on 2 legs, and, therefore, willing to sell cheaper"... Go figure ☹️ Fingers crossed, OB, that your flight will be on time. And, enjoy the new Quantum class 🌷

Thank you so much, Graham. I really appreciate thinking of us. I was "lucky" that I "only" lost my grandfather in the camps. My DH's family -- not so much. His parents had the vision to arrive to Palestine in the early thirties from Poland, but not the rest of their families... I'm hopeful that, after the injections, your Sarah will be "back on track" in no time at all. Pls. relay my best wishes 😘

DH is thanking you all, and, YES, he's very pleased with the new camera, which was very important to him, more than many other features. It was a huge surprise that the "boys" managed to pull it up, luckily DS1 still has many FA friends, and beside, it was agreed that the mixer I've got will be the only gift we'll both receive. It seems that the "boys" didn't want to "short-change" He, who supplies them every week end with gourmet dishes... 😉

As my DH is a long-suffering "hearing aids" when there is a lot of noise around him [many people talking at the same time], he suggested that next time you'll be accosted, just switch it off for 2 seconds, and ask "what now"? 😉

More pictures from a beach. Summer in the winter.... DH was pleasantly surprised to receive a new phone for his birthday. He was wavering the last 2 years, being mostly interested in a good [cell] camera. He found that the best camera for his purposes was Google Pixel 6 Pro, but it was not imported to Israel. Finally, the "boys" found a way to buy the newest one abroad (the 7 Pro), and this morning DH went to the beach to try it -- Heading to a surfing lesson.... and 2 birds enjoying the sunshine -- Wishing all on cruises, heading to cruises, checking in for cruises.... a wonderful day 🌷

I'd suggest booking return tickets. We used this company for a 2 hours sail around Capri, with amazing views completely comparable to the Blue Grotto. http://www.capriwhales.it/who-are-us/?lang=en The line to the funicular was too long, and we feared we'll not be back on time for the return to Naples.
