  1. Will be interesting to see what, if any, impact this will have on the client experience going forward.
  2. One would hope that for the cost of binoculars over a number of cruises that Regent could supply them in all suites, given the prices they charge per suite.
  3. Wendy../we were in a named suite, a GS. Another Canuck onboard for that cruise, Shania Twain. We’re back on Splendor in March for a TA.
  4. We were very disappointed on our Silver Muse Med cruise a few years ago. The upcharge for La Dame was “somewhat” worth it but Kaiseki was an absolute waste. Advertised as a theatrical dining experience, it actually was 2 chefs preparing food teppanyaki style with zero “theatrics” involved. Agree with Boblerm that SS was much more formal than Regent, to the point, every evening at every dining venue men had to wear jackets, save for Spaccanapoli. One evening early in the cruise we went to dinner in the main dining room and I was actually “instructed” I needed a jacket and was turned away. Because of dining with another couple and not wanting to make a scene, I returned to our suite and put one on. Once in the dining room, I noticed virtually every gentleman there had removed their jackets and had them slung over the back of their seats. We were in a nice Silver Suite but I’d does not compare to Regents comparable suites, and with fewer amenities. That was our second cruise on SS, With Shadow to Alaska being our first, and our last.
  5. We had them in our suite on Splendor in March
  6. Montreal…..our home town. If you need any suggestions, ask away
  7. We recently heard from friends who were on Splendor not too long ago that they ordered Crown Royal and were told it was not available but that JW Scotch was then put into the CR bottles and served. As an ex Canuck (David Nevin is one of us, albeit not an "ex) I would view this as sacriligous and would probably become a tad vocal. I am trusting CR will be onboard for our March TA on Splendor. Great reports, GP, from another GP from Georgia.
  8. You are correct about GS and above. As per the footnote, you are guaranteed a seating, but perhaps not at your choice of time. It worked out very well for us on our March cruise and will hopefully be the same for our TA in March '23. We were able to get into any venue within 30 minutes of our choice.....which just meant one more cocktail before dinner!
  9. Would gladly take those temps for our March TA Miami to Lisbon. Hope pool bar stool #4 from left will be vacant.
  10. Have 2 classes booked for our March Miami to Lisbon cruise. Also did 2 last March but because of COVID protocols they were instructional only. How are the seas on your cruise?
  11. GP (....hey, same as my initials!).....if possible, would like to ask a favor of you. When next by pool bar, could you check 4th barstool from left at pool bar to see if my imprint is still there from our March cruise? We will be doing Miami to Lisbon March '23 so wondering if I need to work on a new imprint. Enjoying your posts.....have a great cruise.
  12. Will be following along as we are on Splendor again in March for a TA, Miami to Lisbon. Have a great trip and safe sailing.
  13. One thing you may very well want to remember/consider is that if you have a pre-existing condition that any plan you buu covers that. A reputable TA should be able to navigate it for you with their offered policies.
  14. Look into Travel Guard, which our TA sourced for us.
  15. Looked into the insurance pretty thoroughly. Our TA is very familiar with us and our medical histories and found us an excellent plan and premium…..cheaper that what RSSC offers with better and more coverage. Purchased it today for our March TA on Splendor.
  16. Very strange. We are on Splendor in March and have already booked 2 classes. Some others were already sold out.
  17. Lots of people on this Board can’t quite figure out why wines aren’t published either. It would be very helpful to those cruising at a particular time. We order Dino from Goldbelly…..always very good but miss the “ambiance” of the bar/restaurant. where is your cruise to?
  18. Mpomp……Regent seems to have an issue with publishing their wines. Wines on board tend to be “ok”, unless you go to their connoisseur wine list. We were on Splendor in March and doing another Splendor cruise, trans Atlantic, this coming March. We enjoy our wines and have found poured wines onboard to be “acceptable”. We usually order a nice bottle at dinners from the connoisseur list to pair with whatever we are having for dinner that evening. We lived in B’Ville for 12 years. Wish there was a Dinosaur BBQ onboard.
  19. We were in Suite 1201 in March for a Caribbean cruise, and there was significant vibration felt during the evenings. We attributed it to being forward and high on the ship. Our upcoming TA for next March will be in a Suite on deck 10…..hopefully we will not have that persistent vibration there.
  20. We found, even aside from no sake, service and food at PR in March were both well below Regent standards. We will be back on Splendor next March for a TA from Miami to Lisbon, and will try PR again one evening. If service and food have not improved, we will avoid a second evening there.
  21. We were on Splendor in March and PR was our least favorite dining venue. It did not help that they had zero sake to offer.
  22. That his the info I was looking for, and now remember. Many thanks for the speedy reply.
  23. I have in the past read terrific recommendations of a company that provides cruise insurance, but I have lost the info. Would certainly appreciate input from those who have used this company.
