  1. Any cruisers know where we can purchase these in Miami before our cruise on Saturday. We forgot to bring ours.

Sent from my SM-T560NU using Forums mobile app

Try Hobby Lobby or Party City.

Or, you can purchase a Celebrity lanyard onboard the ship.

  2. I was told by the F&B manager on Infinity this past October that the advent of beverage packages is the cause of the dwindling bottled wines.

The hostess in Luminae told him that I was bringing some nice champagnes with me for dinner each night, and he wanted to meet me and have a taste. I asked him why there were no longer any of my faves on the Wine List. That's what he told me.

I'll tell you this: if you have a favorite wine, perhaos you should consider bringing it with you.

  3. Yes, I was speaking for myself:)......can't speak for others...glad NCL offers them what they need.

Guess I am lucky, after 58 years on this earth, I have always found meeting people on a cruise ship is quite easy.

I'm with you, Lois. Easy to make friends on cruises. There are always Woo Hooers on any sailing I'm on.

I do hate eating alone though. Table for one doesn't have a pleasant ring to it.

The larger the cabin, the happier I am....

  4. Double-check the prices on the in-cabin bar setup.

I think there was a price increase. In October Infinity wanted $130 for a liter of Bailey's. I was on a b2b, so the night before the first cruise ended, I marched down to the liquor store and bought 25 bottles of liqour and took it to my cabin. The next day, all of that liquor was moved to my next cabin, and distributed to the oeople who boarded that day. X lost $$$ on that cruise.... But what they're asking for an in-cabin setup is just plain ridiculous.

    That's what friends are for.

  5. 99sqft? Not for me; id be claustrophobic.

I've been solo in suites on several occasions; there is never too much room. Too little room is another story....

I too wish that Celebrity would offer single cabins; but hope they will give us a couple single suites.

  6. FYI, when I called earlier this week to try to add my cc discount on top of the prepurchase price, they told me that WAS with my discount and there is no actual prepurchase price. They also told me the full cost for a 14 night was $319 which made the discount match up with the total.

    That is highway robbery.

Celebrity used to have tier levels; they probably dispensed with them when no one was looking....

And while I have unlimited internet because of my cabin, I will certainly address this issue on my post-cruise comment form.

  7. We will be on the Millennium in two weeks. Pre-cruse purchase price for the unlimited internet package is $281.10 for 14 nights. I expect it will be higher if you buy it on board but if you have Captains Club status you can call them and get your loyalty discount on the pre-cruise price. Yes, it is pricey, but at least it now works most of the time...

I don't know if you're amenable to sharing, but if 2 or more cruisers were to split the cost of an unlimited package, it would be more palatable

    Just sayin....

  8. What I did find disappointing was the amount of litter and dumped cars on St Lucia. The natural beauty there is simply undeniable, but humans have had a very big effect on such a beautiful place. It would be nice to see some kind of state sponsored clean up act. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed our time there, but there is quite a bit of improvement to be done.

I guess the litter and cars reminded you of what find in any US or European city, eh!!!

  9. The Twizy tour looks interesting. I'm a little worried about the comfort/visibility for the passenger. What was your experience?

Two people per car. I never drove (thank goodness for that.)

Hans led us on a tour around the island, stopping at preset locations. This was NOT a ships' tour.

If you want more information, email me (expand my signature to see my enail address.). I'll dig out Hans' contact information and email address. If you do email me, be sure to include your CC screen name. I vaguely remember that he has 5 electric cars; so 10 people would need to sign up.

  10. well Mynki, as you can see we have been thoroughly put down...so much for expressing an opinion....should we put down those who expressed theirs...I think not...waste of time...yes that IS CC.

Just because our opinions differ on Bonaire doesn't mean it was a put down.

But feel free to call it what you want. There are probably lots of places we disagree on; so what!!!

And, as my buddy jfer8580 would say ; HA!!!

  11. Hi Cheryl....

We are both ret...snowbirds right now in Fl...hope to see Kurt & Gina soon. Sal has a summer job (golf)..i do a few days a month..short notice is Ok depending on airfare and cruise cost.Where are the Woo Hoos headed next?

Our next cruise is on Inf to Ca, but seems too late to snag a suite. We.will keep looking. After that our Silho in Jan 2018 is sold out already except insides...but we are giving suites a closer look in the future...the perks are very tempting & we like our perks..

    Happy Sailing!

Summit perkless repo April 22-30, 2017

Silhouette Caribbean cruise. November 18-30, 2018

    Congrats on the retirements!!!

Your buddy George is tanning his kegs in Cancun this week, FWIW.

  12. Loved loved loved my second time in Bonaire.

A group of us took the electric car (Twizy) excursion; it was a hoot and a half!!! I had a very nice Canadian chauffeur (thanks, Randy!!). The tour ended at a nice beach with drinks before we headed back to the ship.

    Sorry you didn't enjoy yourself....

  13. On the Infinity cruise mentioned above, we stood for almost 2 hrs on the self disembark line close to front. There was a delay in the ship being cleared to leave....and many attempts by others to cut ahead by late arrivals. Before the self disembark line was moved into elevs to get off in small groups, suite guests were brought down ahead ( not sure if it was ALL suite guests or just self disembark suite guests)

Suite perks on X are excellent.. We are thinking we should cruise less often and try one. AQ at this point is good but not great, and we do miss Michaels..( formerly a lounge for Elite guests)

    Howdy, hcat!!!!

Yes, definitely try a suite; you'll love Luminae....

For my upcoming perkless repo cruise, the Woo Hooers have both PH suites, and adjoining S1s. There was very little discounting; but early one morning the price of the remaining CS cabins were reduced by 50%. It didn't last long though.... This was about a month after final payment.

Aren't you able to sail on ahort notice? Has Sal retired?

  14. It is great.

In October we were on a b2b on Infinity. Our first disembark took almost an hour. The second one took less than 5 minutes.

    We stood in NO lines.

There was a dedicated porter in the terminal.

We were whisked to a waiting customs agent, who quickly waved us through.

Luggage tags we got (we were in the PH) said VIP....

    It was awesome....

  15. Here is my recent (2016) experience with internet on X ships I was on:

Jan, on Equinox: internet sucked throughout the ship; very slow and irritable, even in iLounge

October, on Infinity (b2b): internet sucked. Once again very slow. In some instances I needed help logging off; thank heavens I had unlimited package. This occurred throughout the ship; on my tablet and on theirs.

I'll be on Summit in April, on a perkless repo cruise. Lickily I will have unlimited internet, which I think I will need.

I have yet to have a pleasant internet experience.

SHAME on Celebrity for only having an unlimited pkan available. If you agree, tell them this on your post-cruise comment survey. They certainly won't change unless a lot of people vigorously COMPLAIN!!!

    Rant over....

  16. I personally thought that the food carts were a tremendous waste of food.

That being said, tremendous amounts of food is wasted every day on cruise ships.

The switch to Michael's was begun on Infinity in October, while I was onboard. My butler, Singh, seeing that I missed going to MC, made sure we always had an afternoon snack waiting for us in the butler's pantry.

Yup, this is the SAME butler that had ALL of our laundry pressed and delivered on individual hangers... LOL

I have a WORD document that I edit before each cruise and print out to hand to my butler upon embarkation. It includes a calendar of in-suite events.

But that is just my way; your way may vary....
