  1. Celebrity requests no shorts. Your kid might be allowed in wearing shorts anyway. Depends on the host/hostess at the entrance. They might be more lenient for younger kids. So if your kid wears shorts be prepared for your kid possibly being sent back to change if they come in shorts. I don't pay much attention to what kids were wearing because once in they are sitting down and you can't realy tell.
  2. No it is not almost the same at all. On Royal you will see plenty of shorts in the dining room. On Celebrity you won't see that.
  3. Best is subjective. Woody's has a pretty good fish sandwich.
  4. They rent tents for $40.
  5. My dictionary says: a strong and very unpleasant smell

  8. You sound overly dramatic to me. We are regular Celebrity cruisers and have been used to the clean air inside the ship. We don't want that to change and I don't see any logical reason for Celebrity to be experimenting with vaping.
  9. A taxi to Horseshoe Bay and nearby for 2 should cost about $32 plus tip unless you were there on a Sunday or a holiday. Then there is a 25% surcharge. I have taken that taxi ride many times.
  10. The St. Regis is in St George's on St. Catherine beach. The St.Regis is a Marriot property and they don't offer day passes. The Hilton Property is the Bermudiana Beach Resort which is ot open yet and which is not actually on a beach but on a cliff overlooking a beach. Hmm.
  11. The problem is that I see it as a slippery slope. Experiment with casino now and then allow in other public areas. Very disappointing experiment which is not even needed.
  12. I used to take the train to Newark Penn just to eat at the Portuguese restaurants.
  13. The Doubletree at Newark Penn Station is the closest Doubletree to Cape Liberty. But is you are flying into to Newark Airport then it probably makes more sense to stay at the Doubletree at Newark Airport.
  14. I don't think you can spend all day anywhere with the Dolphins. I would say Chnakanaab since you can spends all day at the park before or after doing the dolphins. You cn take a taxi there. Look up the cost on their website. I don't know the current taxi rates but they have been reasonable.
  15. I don’t think most airline agents are going to use a tape measure on your luggage unless from eyeballing it your luggage stands out as oversized. They probably don’t usually enforce an inch or two over the 62”. Most don’t want to get into a confrontation with a passenger. The weight limit is going to be their primary enforcement. If I was buying new luggage, for safety I am going to buy luggage that is under the 62” including wheels. I actually do need to buy new luggage as a cruise line did a job on my 26 “ bag. I don’t think it is usable to be checked again. I will buy a 26 or 25. Probably Travelpro as I have had best luck with that brand.
  16. Only those booked on a cruise line excursion’s could catch it at the pier. You could not get on without an excursion ticket. That was around 2014. The non cruise ticket office was on Paradise Island so we had to go there. Can’t say how it works now. With the new expansion perhaps they will sell tickets on the pier.
  17. The 62" includes the wheels and the handle. There may be one or two airlines that exclude the wheels but when buying luggage it makes sense to include the wheels and not buy for the exception. Some airlines will charge a fee for an oversize bag and others will refuse to check the bag. Probably most will charge a $75 to $200 fee. Most 29" bags would be outside the max. That is why I mentioned 27" x 21" x 14". Actually only 26" bags are going to be safely under the limit.
  18. That would be 50 pounds. OP seems be focused on one size dimension when it is weight and the linear dimension that matters.
  19. Maybe. Again check your airline. Many airlines say a maximium of 62 linear inches. So a common size like is 27" x 21" x 14" is exactly 62. 29" would have to be smaller on height or depth for airlines like American,United and Delta. 62 linear inches seems to be pretty standard for US airlines. Some airlines might allow you to go over that with an oversize fee. Also check weight allowances. Some are 50lbs and others are 75lbs.
  20. No baggage handler wants to handle a 29 “ bag. Where I used to work a 26” or less bag was usually handled with some care. A 29” bag would have a higher chance of being abused. Not handled with care.
  21. Check your airline. Some don’t include any bags. Some include 2 bags. Also there is are weight limits. It is not just the size of the bag.
  22. I have gone four times and there was always plenty of space those four times. I had the included food excursion the first time. The food was not disgusting. It wasn’t very good though. The last three times I booked without the lunch, booked the stingrays excursion which costs less and bought food food at their food shack on the beach which was okay. Can go straight and get a lounger and skip the stingrays. It was a nice beach day. I have been at worse beaches.
  23. A lot of people are in the same boat because of the backlog.. The lucky ones were on closed loop cruises that allowed birth certificates. Others who were not on closed loop cruise were not able to go.
  24. If you book on your own you have to catch the ferry at Paradise Island. That means taking a taxi to the ferry. You can still take a ferry back to the cruise port. We did it that way once since we made a last minute decision to go there. This is one where excursion better to book through RCL. I think booking it independently plus taxi fare was about the same as the RCL excursion from the cruise port.
