Yeah, the menu at the dock isn’t thrilling to us either
I don't think I've ever heard anyone not being thrilled with the food at the dock, other than to say they refuse to try octopus. The grilled shrimp with garlic yogurt and alepo butter is so delicious, I now make it at home.
Hoping you're still enjoying the cruise.

You did hear John Padgett is with NCL didn't you.
According to posts on the Princess forum, and John's own LinkedIn page, he's still president of Princess. https://www.linkedin.com/in/johnpadgett

You did hear John Padgett is with NCL didn't you. They are "loving" him, but the honeymoon period glow is still there.
Wow...I had no idea he was already gone!
I have no doubt that he's probably the one behind all of the show cancellations on NCL.

Well darn! The friends who were going to go with me on this cruise got tired of waiting and booked one very similar on Princess.
I'm sorry to hear this.
I promised myself to never sail on Princess again. At least while John Padgett is in charge.

You can only celebrate 25 years together once, so we're going big. (well, bigger than usual, not Mega Rockstar big)
We were originally booked in a verandah cabin for back to back sailings next summer to celebrate our 25th anniversary, but last night I saw a nice price on a Sweet Aft View Suite for the 2nd half of the b2b. My wife and I discussed it this morning, and decided to pull the trigger since we've always loved an aft view.
This will be our 26th cruise together, and our first suite. We are psyched!

IMO our society is far to eager to jump to conclusions based on short phone videos. Best to wait for all the facts.
There were facts posted by the videographer in the original Reddit posting, but they've since been deleted.

When you're on-board, talk to one of the dining venue hosts/hostesses in the late afternoon before the dinner rush. They can change everything on their laptop for you. The most obvious host will be at a podium at the top of the stairs @ The Wake.

THIS is exactly why Antigua is my favorite island. The first time we were there, we were two of nine people there for the day! I can't wait to go back in February.
When I was a kid in the 60s and 70s, we'd stay at Caneel Bay on St. John quite a bit, back when it was the only resort on the island. The folks at Limerz remind me of the wonderful, kind staff we knew and loved at Caneel.
On a cruise in 2017, we invited a couple of 1st time cruisers we met on board to join us at Limerz, and they couldn't believe just how beautiful and wonderful it was. They still thank us to this day for bringing them along.

Option 2: Sunsets in the Lesser Antilles
San Juan -> Tortola -> Guadeloupe -> Barbados -> St. Lucia -> St John's
I feel this is your best option. We've been to Aruba and Curacao several times and don't even bother getting off of the ship most of the time.
St. John's Antigua however, is a fave of ours. Our go-to is "Limerz" Great, quiet beach, excellent food, and wonderful service (laid-back, no hovering)
The food is fresh, local, and excellent.

Is St. John's the island or the port in Antigua?
The island is singular, St. John. They would never accept a ship this large.

Since it's summer, a lots of folks are cruising, It will take a while for a moderator to approve your review....when it is, they'll send you a link, but thanks for posting it here as well.
I like your idea of an oldies night for Ibiza, while everyone is partying on shore.

What Regent ship has a1000 crew?
Sorry, a small math error based on crew to passenger ratio. I multiplied instead of dividing.
The correct number of crew aboard is 447 according to Wiki.

1000 crew on board, and only one little lady with a radio at first. Pathetic.

Why the fight? Anything in the deleted video give any indication of the cause?
The OP originally stated in his now deleted comments, that the person had been confrontational for several days to many people. They mentioned that this incident involved a cane, and he heard someone yell, "Eat Hickory".
My guess is the OP was a crew member, and not a passenger, hence the deletion of his comments.
Thankfully, a few of us were able to snag both videos before they were deleted.
Look for it on Youtube soon.

When Ben and David tried out the train for their recent cruise, there was an extra fee for luggage, but I can't find any mention of that on their website.
You don't need to check your luggage, you can bring it on the train...there are racks at the back of each car.

“Regent Silver seas Voyager”? Was there a merger? 😁
No, the OP made a mistake. He meant Seven Seas.

For some reason, the OP has deleted his postings. However, I saved the video, but won't post it due to language.
According to his posts, the aggressor should have been removed from the ship 3 days ago as he had physical confrontations with several passengers. The attacker was placed under guard, and was to be disembarked/arrested at the next port.

UMMMM .... I literally just did it last month (May 26th to be exact). So maybe the ONE day I was disembarking they were testing it out. I promise you I was not on another cruise line.
Interesting......and the system compares your face to your passport photo.

I have a hunch that my birth certificate burned up 20 years ago when my parent's home burned.
The Department of Vital Statistics lost my birth certificate, so I have a letter from them stating such. Getting my first passport was a tad difficult because of this, so I'll never let it expire. Renewals are a breeze.

They have a little thing that you look into and if you are recognized they just wave you on through. I've NEVER seen the customs line that short
This must have been on another cruise line as there are no facial recognition station in Virgin's Miami terminal.

That’s my impression as well. I think the official copy has the raised seal.
Every state is different, which just makes matters worse.
This could cause delays checking in, or even being result in being denied boarding if they don't accept your birth certificate for any reason.
If you find yourself left in another port without a passport, you'll spend more than your cruise fare getting emergency passports, hotels, and last minute flights back home. Not worth it.

copy of your state-issued birth certificate
This concerns me. I was always under the impression that it must be an official copy, not just a xerox.
I never sail without a passport anyways, because I know what happens if you find yourself stuck somewhere without one.
