I stay away from buffets on a ship and on land. You just can't trust people. Much better to sit a table in a restaurant. I wonder who invented the buffet.

I wouldn't bother as the steps might not be for everyone.

I never do this as I prefer a larger suite but if I wanted a veranda I still wouldn't take the gamble if I were you unless you are fine with a suite at the front of the ship and low down. On the other hand you could be given a V4 in a much better position but all veranda suites are of similar size and have similar amenities. It's a spin of the wheel. Place your bets please.

I'll just come in hear as a regular Seabourn sailor. I always drink Evian water wherever I am. On my two cruises in August,both ships did not have Evian but they had Aqua Panna which is in glass bottles and the water was good. Ships now have a water system that allows you to fill a water bottle around the ship,it is also served at the table when dining and also around the deck from the bars. I don't like this water or the taste of it. Many people were fine with it so until you try it and see then don't worry unnecessarily.

Who wants to go on vacation and become Scott of the Antarctic. I have just returned from the Pursuit and from what I can tell it will be a fantastic and luxurious way of seeing expedition locations.

I do notice many things that others do not. I am generally on deck at lunchtime after getting off the ship early and then I return. I notice many coming back to the ship at lunchtime and going to the patio grill or Colonnade and of course many of the guests I know. I do not eat breakfast or lunch on a ship,neither do I drink alcohol during the day. Dinner is my one meal of the day with good wine.

Binoculars will be in your suite. I had them on Pursuit last week. Not sure about bridge. We didn't but no need on our trip.
