  1. Everytime I have been to Mazatlan it has been clear. I am wrong about the time, I was looking at the universal clock, above poster is right. I thought the prices were super good. They will definitely go up.
  2. If I am seeing the correct thing, the eclipse will take place about 6pm, after sail away.
  3. Booked, thanks for heads up! We will be in Mazatlán on the actual day I think.
  4. I am getting a monitored test. I mean, if they can change the requirements from one minute to the next, why chance it?
  5. It will end up being a big mess when one country requires vaccination and just one passenger onboard isn't, then the whole ship will not be allowed to dock. You might say, "they won't let them onboard if not vaccinated". But I was on an NCL cruise to India where Everyone was required to have a Visa for India. It was stated on pre cruise emails that NO ONE would be allowed on the ship if they did not have a visa. Well, when we port in India, about 40 people did not have a visa and we were almost not allowed to port. I played trivia with one who didn't and she said, "she didn't think it applied to her". Now, if we had missed India due to this kind of thinking.......what will happen when someone who is not vaccinated is onboard? The whole ship will be punished because of one or more people who say it didn't apply to them? I think they need to wait to see what all the ports require. If some ports will still continue to require vaccine/testing, then NCL should rethink either requiring vaccination of visiting those ports.
  6. I think it is for everyone, it is on the Princess site, not the insurance site. I don't know what happens if you test positive, we have been on 4 cruises and not tested positive, so, I know as much as you do. We will see in a few weeks.

  8. Why would you lose ezair? It's booked thru princess? But, I do have the platinum protection, so maybe that?? I am interested too. Here is from the Princess site: Guests who test positive for COVID-19, as well as their family members and close contacts, will not be allowed to sail and should not travel to the ship. If you, your family members, travelling companions or other close contacts are suspected of having COVID-19 and are not permitted to board, you are entitled to a 100% Future Cruise Credit (FCC). If you are unable to sail because you tested positive for COVID-19 on embarkation day, change fees and reasonable expenses related shoreside quarantine and travel home for you and your immediate travel party will be covered by Princess if not reimbursable from medical insurance, a travel protection plan or other responsible party. Any meals during shoreside quarantine will be covered by a per-diem meal allowance as communicated by a letter provided by staff at the pier. (No receipt retention is required.) If you have purchased a travel protection plan through us, you and your travel companion may make a claim for a refund under the trip interruption benefit instead of receiving the Future Cruise Credit.
  9. If all of that had happened to me......epecially the sewer leakage on my shoes and clothes!!! I would have freaked out and went and slept in a public area. They definitely would have moved me. No way would I have stayed in that room for even a day.
  10. What would happen if we boarded in Seattle (tested 2 days before) sailed to Miam(20 day)i, stayed on board in Miami, (probably tested for B2B), then did not get to Bermuda until 6 days after Miami? Will NCL test us onboard for free?
  11. If this had happened to you, I am sure you would be here telling your story. Let her tell her story without making it your story or your interpretation of it. She was the one there and she knows what happened, you don't.
  12. I hope that if you have a heart attack onboard a ship, they will not be asking you for payment while you are gasping for air. How heartless can people be? They could have just sent her a bill!! It legally is not the niece's responsibility.
  13. It was not her bill, it was her aunts bill.
  14. I am so sorry. What a horrible thing to happen. I hope things work out. I am glad you emailed. I once sent an email to president of Holland America and I heard from their office the very next day and the problem was taken care of. I wish you the same
  15. So have anymore cruises been cancelled on the Sun? Or is the next cruise a go? Thanks
  16. If they stop pre testing, will they also stop quarantine onboard?
  17. I only sailed B2B in USA, so less of a concern if I had to be taken off the ship. More of a concern if I am in Buenos Aires, Santiago or Rio de Janeiro.
  18. I am aware how the testing is done, I have been on 2 B2B's this year. It's more than curiosity. It is travel planning for possibly being taken off the ship in a different country and planning for that. Having that information is the difference between me spending lots of $$$ on 4 B2B or not booking. I think it is worth NCL keeping up to date for people who like to be informed as to possible problems, etc. If it doesn't matter to you...........good for you, book a cruise.
  19. I saw that, but where does it state about testing for B2B? What did I miss?
  20. From NCL site. I wonder how you know which country requires it? Will I be required to take a COVID-19 test in order to embark on the second leg of a back-to-back sailing? No, guests will not be required to take a COVID-19 antigen test before continuing on the second leg of a back-to-back sailing unless symptomatic, unvaccinated or if a specific country requires it.
  21. True, near capacity and at or over capacity are different. This was to Greenland in 2019, it was packed, packed, packed. WE had to go to theater when they first opened (45 minutes before show) to get a seat, any seat. If you wanted to play trivia, you had to go and get seats about 30-45 minutes early. Seat at the buffet during lunch........forget about it. I don't know how many people were onboard, but you literally had to fight(with patience and time) for every single thing. Everyone onboard was saying the same thing.
