Interesting. We feel the same. The couple we traveled with also feel the same. We are both looking at other cruise lines now and we are both elite. The Island was horrible for us too, but the whole Princess experience was also lacking.

Does club class include Sabatinis for breakfast, or is that just suites? IF it includes breakfast, it would be worth it

I can't say what happened on this cruise(Sept 27th), I was on the previous cruise for 30 days. No, I did not get covid on the ship, but someone we know did and she said that they were not allowed to separate (because one tested positive, the other didn't at first and they wanted to have separate cabins) She stated she was told the covid deck was full(so this part may seem like speculation but it is what she said exactly). So they stayed in the room together and both ended up testing positive. I have no reason not to believe this person who I know. We did test positive the very day we got home, and have been pretty sick since then, on day 11 now and still testing positive. Anyone can believe what they want, I don't really care honestly. I am just reporting what happened on the 30 days I was onboard the Island. I only responded the first time because I have seen posts from OP and I like them and I thought they should know about the covid that was onboard just before they boarded. Then I didn't respond anymore because I didn't want to take away from their live report, but now the cruise is over. I gave an honest report of what I saw (all the covid tables, the letter from the captain and the announcement that everyone had to wear masks indoors anyone who was on that cruise knows that is what happened) and of what I heard from a reliable source who experienced covid onboard. Believe whoever you want, me who was actually onboard or a person who has no knowledge of what happened on the cruise starting Aug 28 and ending Sept 27 who said I was speculating...... I was not speculating at all. I was just trying to help people, I won't be doing that again. Good luck!

If this is the target audience.......it is time for me to move on. Princess does need to change, but I am not sure that is the right direction.

We would sell if they stopped the benefit and the price went up to a reasonable one. It wouldn't be worth it IMO. We have probably gotten a good junk back from OBC already including when they used to have dividends. I can definitely see this coming. So many people now have gotten the stocks so low that they will be paying lots and lots of OBC. I even read of someone who bought the stocks, sent in the paperwork, sold the stocks the next day. Got $250 OBC. Eventually it won't be worth it to them to offer this.

Deck 8. That's what I heard. I never saw or looked for it. The person I know who got covid on the cruise said covid area full so she had to stay in her original cabin and then her husband got it a few days later. She wanted to separate from him but couldn't.

Covid deck was full. I didn't get covid but I heard that passengers were given the choice before it was full to stay in their room or go to covid deck. But, that is just second hand information.

I'm shocked it is not being enforced in all indoor spaces because by the end of the cruise before yours(we got off on the 27th) there was ALOT of covid onboard. The captain came on a few days before the cruise ended and announced, into people's rooms, and said everyone should wear masks indoors at all times and even outdoors if in close contact with others. Then a letter came to our rooms stating the same thing. The bar stools were marked with X every other one. Lots of regular crew disappeared. In our hall at least 1/2 had tables outside of them. It was so bad, that the last day we just stayed in our cabin and told steward not to service to try and avoid it. I would wear a mask if I were you. But, maybe they figure that most people who get it will get off the ship soon. I think I heard 300 or 500 were staying on for the this cruise too. Our cruise was 30 days.

We are on now for 30 days. It has been nice, never had a problem with any crowding so far. But I think the cruise starting on the 11 th is full. I will get back to you then. This cruise is about 60%

Check in was very easy. But we were very early. Also I think ship is maybe 1// full not sure. I would get a wheelchair just in case

Just to answer a few questions about check in today 1: only asked for verbal verification of negative covid test if fully vaccinated. No proof needed 2: fully vaccinated is 2 original covid vaccines and ONE booster even if it is over 270 days. I had my last booster a year ago and it was fine. 3: mask required at some places while checking in and on island princess They were handing them out and told you to put it on 4: At mayflower terminal there is an elite area and priority boarding checkin was fast and easy. Onboard at 11am. I probably can’t answer any questions as I don’t have the internet on board only using my cell service to post.

It's the same as the language in the UK sailings. When I chatted with Princess they said no 2nd booster needed. I hope that is true, I leave in a few days. I have copied two chats and their own page saying no 2nd booster needed. But, you should get the jab if you have time. We just booked this cruise and it leaves in a few days, no time for me and I wanted to wait for the better booster. I hope it works out okay.
