I received an upsell at $81 each going from cove Balcony to Spa Balcony deck 14 on the Horizon. I took it! One thing that I questioned was that the upsell cost was for each person, not per cabin. In the past I swear the upsells were per cabin. It was still a great deal for me either way, just wondering if anyone who also received one has any information on what their understanding on these offers are.

If you go to Peggy’s Cove, Nova Scotia there is a Lobster Shack nearby. Omg my 1.5 pound lobster was the best I’ve ever had. Not a fancy place by any means, but oh so fresh and delicious. You can get 1,1.5,2 ,2.5 pounder if you wish. I actually received 2 extra claws because the cook thought the ones on my Lobster where too small.

I brought sand home from my favorite Island, Half Moon Cay in an empty water bottle. Had no issues on the ship, but the airport actually had to test it to be sure it wasn’t drugs!! Oh that beautiful white powdery sand...

I was feeling your pain. We typically cruise in December each year. This year we will be celebrating my parents 60 th anniversary and while celebrating on the beach in Florida for a week, it was as killing me not to cruise. I watched and watched and finally used a Premier offer to book the Horizon at the end of September. I didn’t get a Havana Cabana, but a cove balcony will work just fine. First time we will sail during hurricane season, I have purchased cruise insurance and hopefully won’t need it. I hope you sail soon.

Half Moon Cay is absolute paradise! Trunk Bay is a close second for me.

I wanted the Havana Cabana Balcony, but they are sold out. I’ll book in the future I’m sure.

Pina Colada first thing! Then WCMC and Escargot. Yes, I like them too.

The chocolate cake is delicious. Fair warning depending on how many in your group, you only need the 6”. Unless of course you want to eat a lot of cake.

I've looked everywhere but can't seem to find this info.
Does Room 7166 on the Sunshine have a fridge?
Thank you!!!
We had cabin 6376 aft and had a fridge. As others have posted it was not built in.

I also equate money spent on land vacations like at Disney. I always say we could have cruised with the money spent in 2- 3 days at Disney.

I sailed the Victory three times before dry dock and never found anything to complain about. I think the layout is fine. The food average for the cost of the cruise. The staff is always friendly and work very hard every day. The casino it tight, but I know that going. In. In all my carnival sailings I have never had any real issues that would ruin a cruise. I think you will enjoy if you ignore all the negativity. A cruise is what YOU make of it.

I too was in the Bahamas this past December, as well as a few other December’s in the past. The weather has always been warm, sunny and the water is fine once you are in for a minute.

I sailed the Sunshine last year at Christmas and Loved it. The Sunshine has great food venues and I think the kids will enjoy the rope course and water slides. We did and we are in our fifties! You will love the serenity deck. Whichever you choose I’m sure you’ll create lasting memories.
I sailed the glory a few years back, while it was a great cruise, I will still vote for the Sunshine.

Victory has the new procedure. We just flashed our boarding pass to porters dropped bags (tipped) and then showed BP at priority line (we are Platinum) we were sent right to Platinum/Diamond lounge to wait. Once the wedding guests boarded we were called and walked right onto the ship, boarding pass scanned and off we went. Our room keys were stuck in room number sign as Victory don’t have mailboxes. We did order a drink using our boarding passes before we went to retrieve the room keys. It’s definitely an improvement for embarkation.

I prefer anytime dining. It makes planning around the shows, returning to ship etc. so much easier.

One thing I do want to point out is that the Victory did not have real Baileys! That was a little bit of a let down. I love my Baileys!
