It is generally based on what the ports require. Currently if you are traveling to US ports and Canada there are no ports requiring vaccination or testing. Last month on a Panama cruise Colombia required either proof of vaccination or negative test to board
We hardly ever even go to the buffet unless it is to just grab something at lunch to take outside. In my opinion the buffet is the biggest breeding ground on ship for Noro and Covid. People refusing to wash hands or use sanitizer. For breakfast it is either the MDR or IC. For lunch pizzeria on ships that have them or outside venues, IC or MDR on sea days
The $200 deposit per person for comped cruises has been in effect for a long time. We generally get free balcony offers and pay to upgrade to full suites
No I would want to request steaks cooked to order, escargot, lobster etc These are the kind of foods I can get in the MDR I do not cruise to eat foods I can get in a fast food restaurant on land
Specialty menus do not change at all. I find that to be pretty boring as well. I can see maybe 2-3 specialty dinners or maybe sushi one night if I am on a ship that has a good sushi bar
Was on the Emerald in March old plus package and the drink limit was $15. None of the new items included. I have plus package on 7 upcoming cruises during 2023 and 2024. The app does not show any package. Not very concerned just printing out the travel summary to make sure. We often have to show the summary to the casino to get our casino cash
The main reason for cabins not showing up are on 14 day cruises that can also be booked as 7 day cruises. There will be some cabins reserved for the 7 day portions and vice versa
We sailed in March on a cruise we booked with the old plus. Credit cards never charged for medallions and got the $15 limit for drinks. I think this is simply an IT glitch
In the casino I just walk up to the bar and give my cabin number and the bartender can see both of our accounts. Charge one drink to each account. No problem
