  1. Yes, do it all the time. I only travel in carry on.
  2. If you put a booking on hold online, the next day a PCC will follow up to help you “finish” your booking. Nice little trick and we liked the guy who helped us and is now our PCC
  3. Since it’s a small tour, depending on other ships in port (we didn’t have any) he may shape it around port times. I would still reach out.
  4. Just following up with some information about the Halifax tour for those who may want to book it. 👍🏻 The first part of your tour will be in the downtown area where he will fill you in on a bit of history The tour is structured that it’s just not a drive from place to place, you are learning and seeing as you drive throughout the day. -Your first stop will be the Public Gardens, which are lovely. I grabbed a coffee, used the restroom and wandered around-30 Mins https://www.halifaxpublicgardens.ca/ -We then went to the cannon and changing of the guard at the Citadel (You just visit the outside and watch the cannon and guard change) https://parks.canada.ca/lhn-nhs/ns/halifax/activ -We visited 2 of the Titanic Cemeteries -Lunch @ Evans -We then visited a harbour area for about 30 mins with a local shopping area and pier (I walked the pier and along the water's edge, I'm not much of a shopper but got some good photos) -Fortneedham Memorial Park- I knew nothing about the Halifax explosion and I would say, at least to me it was the most fascinating part of the day. You learn so much about it as you travel around Halifax that it's most fitting that it's the last stop before returning to the ship. You will learn some Titanic information as well but the Explosion information was far more interesting to me as it was something I have never heard about. https://fathomstudio.ca/our-work/fort-needham-memorial-park It was definitely a well rounded day and I felt like I learned so much in just a short time. Paul also has a large tablet mounted in the van that he will show images along with youtube videos to supplement what he is talking about and what you are seeing. https://halifaxtitanictours.ca/historic-halifax-tour
  5. Medallion is a category on the check in, if you complete that it will be shipped to you.
  6. I have casino offers so It’s a $200 deposit.
  7. I Used 4 recently on one booking. I only get the OBC for 1. It was easier to use the FCD instead of putting out cash.
  8. I spent 28 days in April/May and I’m on now as well in Quebec, I have NEVER seen roaches
  9. We just did a great one in Boston was very informative and we saw and learned a lot.
  10. Just a quick note about Quebec Don’t book the Hop on Hop Off Bus! The lines were long, the waits were long and you spent more time loading and unloading passengers. We got on for 2 stops and quickly jumped off not to return. Just walk around, easy walk from the ship.
  11. It’s not the same quality in the MDR as it was in the past. O’Malleys will have it on their menu and you could pay for it or use one of your casual dining credits
  12. Sure. I’ll reach out about the day and answer any other questions
  13. I hope you are feeling better!! Today was the stop in Halifax and we took this tour with a few others from cruise critic (8 total) https://halifaxtitanictours.ca/historic-halifax-tour It may have been one of the best and most informed tours I have ever taken. I can’t recommend it enough! If you are visiting Halifax this is your best option. So much history!
  14. I could have sat at Jordans Pond with a glass of wine all day but we only had a short stop Glad you weren’t caught up in the hoopla of the day
  15. Bar Harbor was the port where it paid to be Elite. We entered the Crown Grill at 10am and where at Bar Harbor @10:45. We were blissfully unaware of the issues other passengers faced until later in the day. 3 hour waits even if you were in a Princess tour. Some passengers never made it over as they suspended service. They were using the lifeboats to tender so that doesn’t provide me with much comfort. We didn’t have issues returning so it seems they figured out the issues…eventually. For those visiting Bar Harbor, ME Oli’s trolley to Acadia was a great tour. Lovely sights and 3 photo stops.
  16. Yes but hour classes were $12-$15 plus 18% not $30 for 30 mins
  17. I have been running stairs and using the promenade daily. When the Prom is closed, i just walk the cabin floors. It’s a good workout!
  18. Fitness classes are $30 each. This price is a joke considering some classes are only 30mins.
  19. Hi All! On this cruise as well, just a note about The Hop On Hop Off Trolley. If you come to this port in the summer make sure you pre purchase tickets as they Sold Out yesterday. It picks up right outside the port area but drops you back at the ship. Having a good cruise thus far with some exciting tours yet to come. 🚢
  20. I saw it! It’s carb loaded which has no meat but also lacks protein and actual food groups. If we are told vegetarian isn’t a dietary restriction than the meals should also be balanced.
  21. No, but thinking about it. I did the last time I was here April/May and was told there wasn’t one. I worked with the Manager on that cruise for specialty foods but since this is a short cruise just 13 days I figured I could just make do.
  22. As a vegetarian, I’m super annoyed at these changes! Many times I’m failed by the MDR but have backups at Gigis or Room Service. Princess Veg options are sad when compared to HAL and I need to hunt and peck for food. On the CB princess now and the MDR options are minimal. I may start working on my HAL status.
  23. Only 2 casual dining on plus so that means you potentially would have to pay for Gigis/Alfredos even with a package. For someone who travels on longer voyage cruises and has elite perks those packages don’t often work out in our favor.
  24. Bill, From my own research for my September cruise https://www.portland-port.co.uk/welcome+to+portland+port
