  1. I keep clicking on this thread hoping someone will post a picture of the dinner burger.
  2. I only use flights by Celebrity when I want to reserve a flight 10-11 months out, get confirmed seats, then not having to pay until final payment. I always do my research up front and tell them which flights I want them to book for me.
  3. If I purchase the Voom internet package, do I still get my two free D+ days which I can log on and give to my wife? I can't recall if it's a NO or depending on what the internet person on a particular ship will or will not allow?
  4. You need to check on board to see if it is refundable or nonrefundable OBC. You can use it for gratuities and/or purchases on board. It it is refundable and you've already prepaid your gratuities, it will be refunded to your credit card.
  5. I've done B2B on many ships and many different ports. Can't remember any one being the same. My guess is since this is the a U.S. port, you will have to disembark, go thru customs/immigration, then reboard. You will be given your new seapass. Check out with the old, then check back in with the new one. It should be a simple process, but I would plan on having to get off the ship to some holding area, then reboard.
  6. The martini bars had a tip "jar" on most of our sailings that I've noticed. It was a premium scotch empty box.
  7. A lot depends on the F&B Manager. We were on a Royal TA out of Barcelona. I asked the beverage manager not to run out of Fosters (oil cans) otherwise I would be very upset. Fosters is a 25oz can. Well, he did run out right before we hit the Canaries. He made up for it by ordering local beer (25oz bottles) from one of the islands for the rest of the transit, so that kinda/sorta made up for it. It was a big deal because we had vouchers, and one voucher for a 12oz or a 25oz was the same. More beer for the voucher. 🤪
  8. U.S. Dollars is the preferred currency and the currency of the ship, although the crew won't turn down Euros if that's all you have.
  9. We have a 9am flight to Edinburgh. We're flying Business, so I would think if we got to the airport around 7:30am, we would be OK?
  10. We are embarking and then disembarking in Southampton on a 7-night cruise. The ship arrives at 5:30am. I assume if we walk off, we'll be able to get off around 7:00am catch a 9:00am flight out of Southampton, since the airport is only 15 minutes or so away? Since this is a round trip and only stopping in Norway, will we have to go thru customs/immigration upon arrival? If so, how long would it take? Have not sailed from Southampton in years.
  11. I usually go for a bank ATM that has a little inside alcove where you have some privacy making your transaction.
  12. If you are on the 19 Oct Solstice cruise, we are on the same sailing. I just completed the NZ and AUS ETA's (we are on the previous sailing stopping in NZ). I was wondering the same about Bali, and even entering in Singapore. Celebrity has already posted covid guidelines for this sailing, and I would think they would be contacting us on Bali/Singapore covidvisa requirements.
  13. That's true, but I would think most don't.
  14. I have a PIN attached to my credit card, only for emergencies as it would be considered a cash advance at an ATM and interest would start the day of transaction.
  15. Chase doesn't charge any fees using your CC overseas, but I'm sure ordering Euro from them in the U.S. you will either pay a fee or get an unfavorable exchange rate, or both.
  16. My Chase MileagePlus does not charge a FTF. AAA may not have a fee, but exchange rate is not favorable. If you only need a small amount of foreign currency, go to guest relations and get $20-40 worth. You will not get the most favorable exchange rate, but for that small amount, it shouldn't matter much.
  17. ATM for sure, but make sure it's a "bank" ATM. Just a word of caution, ATM's now are giving you the option of doing the conversion for you. You are best to decline and do the transaction in the local currency and let your home bank do the conversion. This what they call a convenience service will cost you around 3%. Most credit cards do not charge a conversion fee. Check yours out before you leave.
  18. Both Celebrity and Royal have smoking sections on the pool deck, at least every ship I've sailed. I just find out which side (port or starboard), and avoid that area. On windy days, depending on where the smoking section is located, smoke drafts either into the Solarium area or the Windjammer/Ocean View Cafe. That's when I find it very annoying.
  19. On Odyssey TA this past April, those back double doors into the Music Hall were cordoned off. The area was designated Pinnacle Lounge from 5-8pm. They had their own munchie section so they didn't have to mingle with the folks in the D-Lounge.
  20. The new machine was great, but too many brain dead D's who couldn't understand the pictures. They had an attendant there from 7-10am doing it for you. 😁
  21. You're paying A LOT for those better perks. Even the cost for the AI is getting a little out of hand.
  22. Yes, the same size, huge. The only difference between the two staterooms is one has bed by balcony (2153) and the other bed by the bath (1616).
  23. I would go for 1616 if you don't want any noise in the morning as you have staterooms above you. If you don't mind a little noise above you in the morning with scraping of chairs on the deck, go with 2153 as it is one deck up to the oceanview and pool deck. We were in 2150 on the other side and had no real issues.
  24. I've never been asked for my invitation when I went up to the heli-pad for sail away. They don't ask and don't monitor from my experience. If they ask, just say you left it in your stateroom. They will give you a glass of champagne and move you right along.
