  1. Tipping with $2 bills is akin to "Hey, look at me" in my opinion. Not really necessary, but if it tickles your fancy, go for it.
  2. We're talking cruise ship, not a bar in the midst of a college campus.
  3. From a google search: What does it mean when someone gives you a $2 bill? Spiritual meanings associated with a two-dollar bill include desiring a soulmate, experiencing scarcity, overspending, missing opportunities, and having a limiting mindset. LOL.
  4. Sure if they remove a couple of dollars from the daily gratuity expense from the stateroom attendant.
  5. Not necessarily. We ask for 4 clean towels each day. After use, we hang them on the door hooks instead of dropping them on the floor. The attendant told me he didn't take the hanging ones away because he thought we were "saving the waves." Duh!
  6. Where I go, regulars get a little bit extra. It's good for the bartenders and good for the establishment. It keeps people coming back.
  7. I wouldn't hold my breath. Currently on Vision and talking with an housekeeping supervisor. Celebrity will most likely be adopting this policy also.
  8. I'm not sure from the deck plans, but I would imagine you would get more noise from the inside stateroom 7210 with the door as it opens and closes going in and out. If there were a storage area near, the only noise you would hear from inside your cabin would be if a couple stateroom attendants were chatting outside the storage area. You could squash that very easily.
  9. I take it you were not paying $16+ a day per person for gratuities?
  10. We've been in 8172 on Millennium, and will be in 8172 on Constellation TA Nov 2024. Great balcony. Canvas over the first half for privacy.
  11. Deck plans show a square which means fold out sofa bed.
  12. Yes, you get what you are given, but if there are other cabins open in the same category, you can move. Got to call to make the change.
  13. Be aware, ATMs are now starting to ask you if you want them to do the conversion for you. Always say NO. You will be charged a fee if you say YES. Let your bank/credit card do the conversion. That way you will get the interbank rate for the day/time of the transaction.
  14. Lots of people say that, but I don't care for the taste. We bring our own with us and/or buy some at the ports we visit. I put several liter and a half bottle in a canvas bag and attach a luggage tag to it. Makes it to our stateroom every time.
  15. Currently on Vision in an inside cabin, and we have service twice a day. Our cabin attendant told us he will be available between 8am-1pm and 5 to 9pm.
  16. That's a BS answer. I was told on Grandeur I had to come down to the internet area to get a good connection. I'll be on Vision next week, so we'll see what happens.
  17. I just noticed last month that Royal switched to Mr & Mrs "T" regular, at least they had it on Grandeur. I prefer the bold & spicy, so I bring my own and just order vodka on the rocks with a celery slice, which they rarely have. Can't stand the tomato juice with the Demitr's Bloody Mary Seasoning, so that's why I bring my own.
  18. I have a small swiss army knife (pen knife) with a nail filler and small scissors. I put it in my checked bag on the airline. When I boarded the ship, it was confiscated, and I had to pick it up at the end of the cruise with all the other "weapons" they confiscated.
  19. JS don't pay more in gratuities, but we'll be happy to have the full service on our TA in April. 😁
  20. They hate to mess with it, but my guess is most people ask them to empty the frig. Under the bed is a great place for it. 😃
  21. If they are not going to provide services twice a day, I'll have to give more thought about how much to put in the "Tip Tip Hooray" envelope.
  22. Yeah, maybe we should go and do our own dishes. 🙄
  23. I've never had once a day cabin service in the past 20+ years. If that's your cruising standard, then, good for you.
