  1. Perhaps a newlyweds banner would be appropriate here. They do call it "The Honeymoon Period" in politics, don't they. 😉
  2. In Ontario we have two streams in grade 10. The academic stream (going to post-secondary) and the applied stream. At best, this discourse is grade 10 applied. 😉
  3. LOL. Silly me, I thought it isn't a cruise without the ship. 🚢 😁
  4. Have a great dry cruise! Oh, by 'dry' I mean non rainy... ... get as wet as you like! 🥂
  5. Also, don't think smoke signals are an option either. 🔥 😁
  6. Just like I have never fretted about the plans for a Stanley Cup parade for my beloved Maple Leafs at the beginning of each of the last 55 hockey seasons, I won't worry about a possible change to the MDR menu, that may or may not happen, sometime in the future, at a sister cruise line to the one I prefer to cruise on. Just like I won't constantly worry about what I will do when I win the Powerball lottery. Now I'm off to cook up my two Maritime Lobster tails! 😁
  7. I guess you haven't seen the Don’t rush to flush! thread on here, or the Totally unacceptable thread over on Celebrity. This is CC, anything and everything gets a thread around here, warranted or not. BTW Look for my next thread titled "Can I Tip the Crew with My Homemade Poutine" coming soon to a board near you! 😁
  8. Well, don't tell me. Tell the OP. They are the one who is worried about rain! Hey @ARandomTraveler TopChico says it won't rain. You're good to go! 😁
  9. I actually joined CC because of Celebrity. I had sailed mainly on Royal before but had booked my first Celebrity cruise and found CC to find out what it would be like. (yes, pretty a$$ backwards on my part). Reading the dress code and other threads on the Celebrity CC board made me wonder ; "What the heck did I just do?" Luckily the actual real people on the Celebrity cruise were great. No 'pearl clutchers' in site. I'm sure you will have a wonderful cruise on Beyond next year. (but pack the Xanax just in case. 😉)
  10. Years ago a buddy of mine was way up in the Provincial Government here in Ontario. When he won his position I bought him a beer. Over the years he told me lots of stories about his life in politics. Those stories made me wonder why anyone would want to go into politics in the first place. So, to the OP my condolences to you family member and their loved ones. Years later when my buddy finally lost an election and retired from politics I bought him 6 beers! Now that was something to celebrate! 🍻
  11. If you really want to take some Xanax, go to the Celebrity threads about their dress code/suggestions. Wearing shorts in the Celebrity MDR is akin to a super nova for some of those Celebrity CC posters! 💥
  12. But as we age don't we gain Wisdom? 🤔 Frig Wisdom, I want my 30 year old dumb *ss self back!
  13. I always say; " A good day at work pays for a good day cruising." and; " A really good day at work pays for lots and lots of good days cruising!" 😁
  14. LOL! And the 30%-60% + chance the OP won't run into a category 4 hurricane on the cruise either. 🥳
  15. It's November in the Caribbean, its going to rain. Just pack an umbrella and a rain poncho. As Henry Wadsworth Longfellow said; "Into each cruise some rain must fall." 😁
  16. The food is better on Celebrity BUT according to the folks over on the Celebrity board if you wear shorts while eating your food, your food and everyone else's food will taste like horse poop. 🐴💩 😉
  17. Agreed. It seems like some of our fellow cruisers are taking this vote personally. The good people of Bar Harbor don't hate us as individuals. We cruisers are like my three year old granddaughter. We are sweet, inquisitive, funny and a sheer joy to spend a day with except for the one or two temper tantrums, of course. 😉 But I'm not so sure I'd want to spend a day with 5,000 of her and her friends. 😵
  18. Bar Harbor's population is about 6,000. A 3,000 person cruise ship is a visitor size = to 50% of their population for the day. Toronto's population is about 6 million so 6 million X 50% = 3 million cruise guests for the day. 🤯
