  1. We did the same itinerary at Christmas and ran a thread here
  2. Casual I wouldnt mind most of the time, but shorts, t-shirt and baseball cap at the table during a formal night ?
  3. Same thing on the cruise before yours Ford Lauderdale to LA, I am not sure if it is fleet wide but the Emerald Maitre D's are not holding any sort of standards in the MDRs.
  4. About the same speed as us 30 days ago, the Captain is in no hurry, you should be out the other side by about 6 PM then drop anchor for the night before Puerto Amadore tomorrow.
  5. Anyone else miss the blue cloth tote bags they used to give out? We still have a few and always bring them onboard with us to tote things around in. We always get asked where we got them. You can’t get them anymore that I can see, it would be nice if they at least had them available to buy.
  6. On our cruise a couple of weeks ago we were ordering up to 4 bottles of water each per day and we payed nothing for them. We had the plan.
  7. Does the Discretion mean if you are still standing after 15 drinks ? 🙂
  8. Sadly also the people who should have been wearing masks, notalbly those who were evidently sick, were not.
  9. They do have sommeliers in MDR, however I also noticed that our regular was also working in the IC, the kitchen and up at the coffee shop by cones on emerald during the day.
  10. The Hilton Marina is a nice hotel, but higher prices, breakfast is not included, the buffet comes to $70.00 for two people with gratuity added.
  11. We just got off emerald which has pizza slices at no extra charge up by the pools, am I understanding that is not an option on the Royal class ships?
  12. They had equal, Splenda and sweet n low on emerald, we just got off
  13. I remember having issues once after eating bad food, when I went to the ships med center I asked if it might be noro. She asked me if I made it to the toilet, when I said yes, she said no it’s not noro 😳
  14. One thing I did not mention, it is entirely up to you but I would suggest being up to date on your Covid and Flu shots, RSV shot if you can get it. There were more than a few people coughing on the ship and a few people were confined to cabin while they got rid of it. No major infection protocols onboard but you don’t want your vacation ruined by being stuck in your cabin. We definitely caught something (not Covid) as we both had stuffed sinuses after getting home.
  15. Coffee and Cones is on the same deck not to far from the entrance to the buffet.
  16. Never saw this on Emerald, we just finished a 15 day cruise
  17. I can’t remember seeing an espresso machine in the buffet, you could always order it on the app for delivery but it would be quicker to grab one on the way in.
  18. Mind you I only know that our cabin (balcony) had one, I can’t speak for all cabins
  19. We just got off emerald and there is the one European plug behind the bed
  20. Reaching back to this one, the menus at the table are paper based. However I found later in the cruise that I could pull up the days menus on the stateroom TV if I wanted to see what was served for supper that night.
  21. There is a european style plug behind the bed that has a lamp plugged into it. I have a european power bar that I use when travelling over there and it works great to have the lamp and another device connected if your spouse wants a charger on their side of the bed.most chargers these days are multi voltage, you just need the right adapter.
  22. Forgot to mention dress code in MDR. For our cruise and in the Davinci dining room there didnt seem to be any enforced dress code. Formal nights they were letting in people with T shirts, baseball caps and jeans.
