  1. Distance is 2 km from cruise terminal to main square so it might be a 20 min walk for some and a 30 min walk for others.
  2. Abisko is a very small place (basically a few houses and the Mountain lodge tourist station). There is a restaurant but it doesn't open until 18.00. There is also a candy store. https://www.google.se/maps/@68.3495905,18.8304407,1209m/data=!3m1!1e3 https://www.visitabisko.com/
  3. No, it has a new cruise quay so I would claim that it's not a tender port.
  4. Depends on what time of the year you plan to visit, If between mid November and mid March this winter then I would suggest a night visit at Aurora Sky station in Abisko. https://auroraskystation.se/en/winter/night-visit/
  5. Actually going to Nynäshamn instead of Stockholm is not just a little more trip planning. It is missing out on one of the highlights of a Baltic cruise.
  6. Currently listed as Stadsgården S167. https://www.portsofstockholm.com/stockholm/port-areas/
  7. As a rule of thumbs expect Princes cruises to berth at Nynäshamn even if they claim it's Stockholm. I also believe that Norwegian Cruises often goes to Nynäshamn. Most other usually go into Stockholm proper. Sometimes they go into Stockholm but at the cost of several hours less time in port. One can look at this page https://www.portsofstockholm.com/vessel-calls/ (choose cruise calls and change time period to end of September) ti get an idea of which ships/cruise lines that goes to Nynäshamn. If Berth says SEAW SEAWALK then itäs Nynäshamn. Frihamnen, Skeppsbron and Stadsgården are Central Stockholm, se linked map below for cruise berths. https://www.portsofstockholm.com/siteassets/stockholm/kartor/map_of_cruise_berths_2022.pdf
  8. As a rule of thumb Princess cruises either berth at Nynäshamn or have several hours shorter time in port when they do berth in central Stockholm. Thus they should be avoided.
  9. Either main entrance (main hall entrance/exit) at Centralplan. https://www.google.se/maps/@59.3304509,18.0593725,3a,72y,238.9h,102.02t,0.33r/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1szS0DcE-cXj3DqjBiiNP6Hw!2e0!7i16384!8i8192 The hotel is a few hundred meters to your right (to the left in this view) when you exited the station. https://www.google.se/maps/dir/59.33042,18.0588138/59.3288047,18.0618498/@59.3304158,18.0595512,78m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m2!4m1!3e2
  10. You will be dropped off here: https://www.google.se/maps/@59.321861,18.0769649,341m/data=!3m1!1e3 This is Skeppsbrokajen (Skeppsbron quay) at Gamla Stan. The ferries to Djurgården departs from the same location.
  11. Bergrummet toy museum is nice but small, but could be worth a visit. It's located at Skeppsholmen though a bit off location compared to Vasa/Old town. Tekniska museet (The Swedish National Museum of Science and Technology) is something I think kids would enjoym but is also quite far from Vasa/Old own.
  12. Finnair also has some flights from the US (LA, NY and Florida I think) to Stockholm Arlanda.
  13. SAS is effectively a Danish airline now. The Swedish state sold their shares maybe 1-2 months ago and the Danish state increased it's ownership share.
  14. Public transport in general in Sweden is very focused on apps or pre-paid cards (like SL green card) where the latter isn't an option for you. There are ticket machines in some places(not sure if there is one at Frihamnen) but those are planned to be discontinued. If the app doesn't accept you card and there is no ticket machine at Frihamnen then a taxi is your only option. I would recommend Taxi Sverige, Taxi Kurir or Taxi Stockholm.
  15. For those who are visiting Helsinki in the nearest couple of days Swedish sailing ship Götheborg will be in port and you can visit. However you need to buy tickets in advance. https://www.gotheborg.se/visit-us/helsinki/ It will also visit Stockholm 7-13 July Copenhagen 20 – 24 July Oslo 28 – 31 July, London 8 – 12 August Bremerhaven 17 – 21 August Lisbon 5 – 8 September https://www.gotheborg.se/visit-us/
  16. Bus 76 runs every day, but only every 20 minutes on Sundays. https://mitt.sl.se/ficktid/sommar/S76.pdf https://mitt.sl.se/reseplanering/tidtabeller
  17. You read it correct, but reads the time table for the wrong direction. In this case it was route from Ropsten towards Nybroplan which stops at Allmänna gränd at 01 past (on weekends) and reaches Nybroplan 9 minutes later where you can use the same boat to Frihamnen. Another option from Djurgården is tram line #7 which stops at both Gröna Lund and Nybroplan.
  18. If you time it well, you can still use Djurgårdsfärjan (#82) to Allmänna gränd, switch to #80 from Allmänna gränd (departs at 11.01) to Nybroplan and then use the same boat to Frihamnen. However Djurgårdsfärjan is very popular in the morning (lots of people going to Gröna Lund, Skansen, and other sights at Djurgården so the queue can be quite long (if the weather is nice). However if you go early and the weather is nice you can go for a short stroll along water towards the Vasa area. Also be aware that boat #80 doesn't share queue with boat #82 so at Allmänna gränd (if you go there) go to the right to get to the boat to Nybroplan. https://www.google.se/maps/@59.324213,18.0951599,3a,48.9y,294.55h,87.92t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sKk12F6yfEjWUTZrCSEql6w!2e0!7i16384!8i8192
  19. Yes samma minuttal means leaves at those interval during the "gap" between 9 and 12.45 And it looks like you have to change boat at Nacka strand to # 80X, note sure though and not sure why.
  20. I'd say no ,mostly residential areas . Boat route 80 is basically a commuter boat for people to use to get into the central city.
  21. Yes. It doesn't go further then Ropsten if coming from Nybroplan/Djurgården. If you want to go further you need to change boat (also named ferry route 80) at Ropsten. https://mitt.sl.se/ficktid/sommar/S80.pdf
  22. Just one more stop after Frihamen and that is Ropsten, not that much to see IMO. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Stockholm+Ropsten+brygga+temporary/@59.3529778,18.1123623,3152m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x4f5edfc5f36f5ca9!8m2!3d59.3580335!4d18.1066392
  23. Just for the record. The time table is only valid for another 4 days. Use this one if you visit 4 June - 21 August https://mitt.sl.se/ficktid/sommar/S80.pdf
  24. yes, as long as you start the final leg before the 75 minutes expire you are ok.
