  1. Not sure all these bookings cruise lines are bragging about will actually be secured after final payment time. Booked on an Adventure in January in a JS. I checked and all but one OS are available and nearly all the GS are also available. I wouldn't book it either at the crazy prices. Given there are a few still booked, who knows if they will actually make the final payment.
  2. I remember the pictures of his breakfast. I never tried it though! He is certainly missed.
  3. Just got off the Liberty and Chops is open for lunch on embarkation day at noon. We had the UDP and I guess it's also open for lunch paying guests as well. Not terribly crowded and a good lunch to start the cruise. WJ was a mad house!
  4. We looked at the day pass on cruise planner for a cruise in March and when I opened it and saw what I saw, we had the exact same impression! No thanks but I'm sure there are many who will love it!
  5. We had a terrible time with the stairs and wouldn't book this cabin again for several reasons.. First problem was the room attendants were not on duty when our luggage arrived so you have to lug all that luggage up MANY stairs. Same with going home. Also a problem for me, the bed is right next to the glass wall thing that is the second floor. railing. I was scared to death I would go over it at night in my sleep. You could trip on the step down landing to walk down the stairs. It's also hot on the second floor..heat rises! The balcony was narrow and basically all it holds is two loungers and a small table. If you have any knee problems or disability it's not for you. There is ONE Crown Loft Suite that has an elevator for disabled so if you had that cabin, that would avoid the stairs issue. I would prefer an Owners suite to a CLS.
  6. I'm sorry, I'm still trying to recover from 9K for a balcony cabin!!😳
  7. Thank you everyone for great suggestions. I was thinking of Legal Seafood, have never been there but heard good things. I think that's a cab ride with a walker. Love the Lobster!!
  8. Are there any seafood restaurants within reasonable walking distance from the Black Falcon terminal? Husband has a mobility scooter and that might be an issue? We've been there before but hope that there might be more eating establishments in that building across the street. Looked at Yankee Lobster but not sure how close that is. Last resort is a cab I guess but we'd have to leave the mobility scooter behind and take a rollator/walker instead.
  9. Way overdue!! We left them in 2007 and that ship was toast then!!
  10. We sailed many years on HAL and there was a lot to love. BUT do not ever cruise on the Veendam. It's broken down and it's notorious for AC problem as well as engine problems. That ship sent us packing to Royal and we never went back to HAL. I'm sure their newer ships are beautiful.
  11. It depends on the port. In Florida, Port Canaveral and Tampa, you pick the scooter up at the entrance to the terminal and they will show you where to bring it back. They will follow you to your vehicle or van so you have it up to that point. In Bayonne, it's delivered to your cabin. Maybe other ports too but I don't have experience with them. I much prefer picking up at the terminal so it can be used to embark and disembarked which is when it's really needed. Instead we get wheelchair assistance to embark and disembark. To me it's a real pain disembarking because you have to wait in a designated room for someone to take you off as well as a lot of other people. There's a line and only a few guys to do this so it's time consuming. You will love having the scooter!
  12. Yes, plus if you want cheese, extra $5!!!
  13. Coco Cay did have a suite area complete with a special luncheon just like Labadee. There were Cabana's suite guests could rent for very little $$. We enjoyed it. Once they started the "Perfect Day" all of a sudden, no Suite beach/area. Since they dumped it in the beginning and did not give suites access to the beach club I doubt there will be anything in the future given the increases going on now.
  14. With 12 did they set up the Music Hall for happy hour or were you able to use the SL??
  15. 23" and you can get a mobility scooter through easily unless it's some gigantic scooter. We rent from Scootaround the 3 wheel basic and we get through the JS easily.
  16. We're on the Wonder in July for our anniversary also and DH is 88. We do now rent a mobility scooter and pick it up at the port. Enables us to do everything if we want to, including getting off the ship. We've been everywhere before so often we just stay onboard too. Happy Anniversary!!! Congratulations!
  17. Just curious and wondered if they had the Pinnacle Happy Hour in the VCL? It was in the VCL on the Serenade, a different class of ship. We really enjoyed the VCL for Happy Hour also.
  18. One time I thought I lost a credit card.. I knew I used it at the local gas station the day before and thought I gave it to my husband to put in his wallet... but then remembered I put it in my jeans pocket after much thinking. So I checked my Jeans pocket and NOT THERE. So trying to remember the impossible and searching everywhere. I was resolved to it being gone. Then I thought... maybe I had on different jeans and I checked those and amazing, it was there! Most things I loose are in a different purse's or one of those zip compartment. Too much stuff! I hope you can find your passport without all the additional expenses and worry.
  19. Search again for the passport. Turn everything inside out. Every nook and cranny in your luggage where you might have slipped it in after showing your passport to immigration. That's a crazy time and you might have misplaced it in a pocket of your jacket or pants. Try and review your last use of the passport and what you wore or bags you had. You do have it somewhere. Maybe in your vehicle glove compartment. Check all your pants pockets too. I
  20. Agreed, I have stock in RCI and they had their earnings report. What struck me was the RCI president Jason Liberty pretty much bragging about how much they have meaningfully increased prices. Of course he failed to mention the reduction in services. As long as everyone pays the increases and are happy with the product, it will just continue.
  21. What an informative review, thank you! My husband has to use a mobility scooter so wondering if the shops and town are within walking distance (walking me, scooter him) from the ship? We can't take tours really because of the mobility issue though, We're good just walking/scooting/ around town.
  22. We've been given OBC for the amount the cruise was reduced. If you ask for that you might have a better chance. Maybe escalate your request. They do not have to do this but I've heard that sometimes they do. Good luck but enjoy the cruise no matter what and don't even think about the change in price.
  23. Usually a JS for the room and DH has a mobility scooter and rarely find a handicapped cabin available, but I was looking at my upcoming Wonder cruise in July to see what the available Aquasuite was . Just a tad above my budget, $65,444.02 for two people!!😂
