  1. We almost always managed to get a seat at the martini bar on the S-Class ships. Our secret - go there about 20 minutes before time for the 2nd seating for dinner. As has been said, a lot of people stop there on their way to dinner and since we usually eat at around 6:30 pm, we are usually there around 7:30 - 7:45 PM. Even if you cannot get a seat, try to be there around 8 PM. That is usually when the bartenders do their little show.
  2. I know this is a Celebrity forum but just FYI there is a Deck 13 on Royal Caribbean's Quantum of the Seas.
  3. Not sure when in February your cruise is but I am planning to do a live review of our February 18th sailing. I found @Sea Dogreview very informative and it has given me some idea for my planned review.
  4. The only issue I see here is that the security folks may take exception and take possession of it and hold it until the end of the cruise. I have a four outlet power strip with a 12-inch cord. Not surge protected at all -- I have had cruises where I was able to bring it onboard with no issue and I have had cruises where it was taken and held until the end of the cruise. No rhyme or reason - just the whim of the people running security at the terminal.
  5. You did not say if your drink package was the classic or premium. There is a dollar limit on both and as @MLP12 said, if the drink you order is higher than the limit on your package, then you pay the difference. Where I have seen this have the most impact is the martini bar and Cafe al Bacio. Standard martini's are covered by the premium but not the classic package. In Cafe al Bacio the coffee drinks with alcohol are normally not covered by the beverage package. I think the same applies to the smoothies at the Spa Cafe. https://www.celebritycruises.com/things-to-do-onboard/onboard-packages/beverage-packages/compare-packages Keep in mind not all of those brands may be in stock when you sail. There have been some supply chain issues and as you can tell by reading various post here on CC, alcohol has been one of the items impacted.
  6. Chick-fil-A's business model accounts for not being open on Sunday's. I do not know about where you live but our local Chick-fil-A is almost always busy. I cannot recall a time when I have pulled into the drive through and not had one or two cars ahead of me. Additionally, Chick-fil-A. pays the highest wages of any of the local fast food restaurants and reward their employees well. Hell, I am retired and have even thought about working there part time just for something to do. I only mentioned three restaurants because that is what I know of personally in my local area. I am sure there are others. But we are getting off topic here. Not having an Elite Happy Hour is a holdover from Pre-COVID when the Elite Happy Hour was held in the Sky Lounge and used a large number of waiters as well as servers walking around with trays of snacks (I miss those) not to mention twice the number of bartenders than normal. That said, I do believe that unless they are going back to that type of a Happy Hour, they should allow Elite drinks on embarkation day from 5 - 7 as you can tell from this thread, there is no longer a justification for it that makes sense beyond Celebrity saving money.
  7. You are aware that many restaurants ashore are having some of the same issues. I know of three restaurants that had to go out of business because they could not get waitstaff. It seems that post-COVID no one wants to work in lower paying service industry jobs that are outside the home.
  8. I can't find the picture right now but we saw one door that was fully wrapped with Christmas wrapping paper, bow and all. As long as it does not interfere with the proper operation of the door, I do not think Celebrity really cares.
  9. We missed having a bar in the Retreat Lounge on Edge. We also prefer the ambiance in the Retreat Lounge/Michael's Club on the S-Class as it is smaller and more intimate making it easier to start up conversations with your fellow retreat guest.
  10. Open the e-docs doucment. The next to last page should be your luggage tag. You can then print only that page three or four times, depending on how many tags you need.
  11. Hmm, I wonder if you brought an Ethernet switch you could hook into the ship's ethernet and get wired speed? Very tempting. Maybe I can convince someone on Millie to send me pictures before our April cruise.
  12. I have gotten it to go pre-COVID but have not attended Elite Breakfast since sailing re-commenced. We've only done Suites since sailing re-started and I am enjoying my coffee with Bailey's in Luminae.
  13. We love the Tea Forte. We sometimes buy it for home. On Silhouette last March/April, our Personal Retreat Host saw us having some in the Retreat and that evening when we got back to the room there were six little packages waiting for us.
  14. Thank you for confirming. Just want to make sure I have the correct type. My MacBook Air only has two Thunderbolt 3/USB 4 ports so I use a USB to HDMI converter as well.
  15. I think you will enjoy it. In the last week and a half I watched all six seasons of "The Good Fight" on Paramount +. Really enjoyed it. Did not watch it when it was originally aired.
  16. So the TV' shave mini-HMDI female connectors vs standard HDMI female?
  17. We were too busy enjoying the serenity of our cabin and the Concierge Club .. We did walk past it a couple of times on the way to other venue's but never saw/heard anything that piqued our interest.
  18. Really - are you saying that I can send months, even years old statements and still get OBC? I assume you have done this and are speaking from experience?
  19. I have always thought the reasoning behind this was all of the activities the staff was engaged in as part of the sail away. Given the time of departure and the activities associated with getting the ship underway I am sure a number of the staff are otherwise engaged and thus not available.
  20. They should also be able to tell based on your cabin number. But it is definitely best if you have a copy of the Set Sail pass available.
  21. Even that is low. I have been seeing around $450 - $500 a day for 7 & 8 day sailing. But then again I am booking less than 12 months ahead. Maybe I need to start booking when they are first advertised, or book through a TA instead of direct and transferring to my TA.
  22. Yes, I use one device/account and use it for my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook Air. What I am doing determines which device I use it on.
