  1. I was raised the same way but I do love breakfast in our room on our balcony as well as lunch when I port and we’re not interested in going ashore.
  2. Yes, if you book direct you can transfer to the TA of your choice.
  3. The only thing I am seeing is The World Wine Tour under drink packages. Under Gifts & Gear there is a Decoy Cabernet Sauvignon package.
  4. I can't remember if it was while I lived in Hawaii or somewhere else but I believe i have seen the shirt before and was aware that it was surfboards but thank you for clarifying. I use to have a dozen or so 'Hawaiian' shirts when we lived on Oahu but with the exception of one or two Reyn Spooner's, the others have all been donated to charity over the years.
  5. You may have the wrong room -- Junior Suites are found on Royal Caribbean not Celebrity. All suites, from Junior up on Royal Caribbean are 2 points under Crown & Anchor Society loyalty program. Celebrity's loyalty program is named Captian's Club and information about it can be found here: https://thepointsguy.com/guide/celebrity-cruises-loyalty-program/
  6. See @Jim_Iain post #11. " Only available in Luminae, Blu, Retreat and at Captain's Club Elite and above continental breakfast. " This has been our experience as well.
  7. It's been a while since we've been to the Elite Breakfast but they use to serve Mimosa's and Bellini's as well as sparkling wine and Bloody Mary's.
  8. They did not get rid of it. They simply rebranded it to the Zero Proof package. Taking a bit of time to get the web site updated. The announcement did state that existing purchases would be honored.
  9. I did make some assumptions but I also knew that not all of the Pinnacles were in suites. Two of the Pinnacles on this particular cruise was someone I worked with and his wife. He introduced us to a few of their friends. Later at the Park Cafe we had a discussion about how many Pinnacles sailed in suites once they made Pinnacle. If it came across as if I was making a judgement, the I apologize. My internet was to point out how difficult it would be for the Concierge/Suite Host to estimate how busy the lounge may or may not be at any given time on any given sailing. My comment about the majority of people being in the lounge had nothing to do with whether or not the Pinnacle guest were in a suite as it did not matter, they were allowed to be there. It was actually more about how few non-Pinnacle Suite guest were observed.
  10. Thanks you. Was not 1000% sure how it worked. I know when I was a hiring manager, I was not permitted to ask any questions of potential hires related to medial issues.
  11. Next Tuesday is our 50th -- you could not find two more different personalities. I am a member of the small but not necessarily sober group. Where's the bartender, I need a refill of my rum old fashioned.
  12. I never did like that lounge. The bottom floor was always standing room only and the upper floor seemed small and darker -- Servers almost never made it up to the second floor.
  13. Again, it's an apples to oranges comparison. Different suppliers and thus a different supply chain.
  14. Trying to manage this must be a nightmare for the Concierge. I am going to be very interested in how it will be on our upcoming Harmony sailing. The last time we were on an Oasis Class ship was Oasis in 2018. The Suite Lounge was almost always busy and most of the folks appeared to be Pinnacles, judging by the gold Pinnacle badge they were wearing. There were a couple of times my wife and I went to the lounge after 5 PM for a pre-dinner drink only to find no seats available. We are hopeful that we will be able to use the suite lounge as a peaceful and relaxing hangout the same way we were able to do on the Quantum. However, we know we will need to make allowances due to the free beer, wine, and soda starting at 1100.
  15. That was our experience as well for our initial boarding as well as the B2B. On the initial boarding we never heard suites or Diamond Plus called but did hear them call Key. So we stood up and joined the queue. On the B2B, they could not manage the new passengers well, even though the B2B passengers were in a roped off area. Many new passengers were going around the rope, going under it, and sitting with us B2B passengers. When they started boarding B2B, everyone in the vicinity of the doors got up and tried to enter. The few security people had a very difficult time trying to tell non B2B passengers to wait their turn. We had four people who were not part of the B2B simply step in front of us and go through. Total chaos.
  16. This being the case, I would recommend waiting until you are onboard to do the upgrade. My reasoning is that the 20% gratuity that you pay will go to the person you do the upgrade with. Bartenders have a good memory and any bartender you upgrade with will be appreciative. Just don't do it at one of the stands that are set up on the ship. You'll most likely never see that individual again. My two favorite places to upgrade are the Martini Bar or the Ensemble Lounge. I frequent both so it's usually a toss up where I do the upgrade.
  17. I don't think we have ever gambled enough to make it beyond the entry level. Never really understood the rating system for table games. I normally play roulette and make close to the minimum bids. I also have played for three or four hours on the same $100 which means I am not buying in two or three times a night so maybe I'd be better off playing slots instead.
  18. I could get by with doing this but my wife could never. Her clothes are much more delicate than mine. I put my jeans, khaki pants, underwear, t-shirts, etc. in the wash and fold bag. Dress shirts are normally only worn to drinks before dinner and during dinner and unless I splash/spill something on them, they are good for two nights. Otherwise, into the cleaners they go. What I find to be the biggest weight item for us are shoes. Dress shoes (what woman can bring only one pair - not my wife), tennis shoes, and casual/walking shoes start to add up. Thank goodness for the slippers in the room or that would be another pair of shoes.
  19. When I did not have the DBP and wanted to upgrade, I would always do it at the Martini Bar. That is one of my favorite hangouts so it made sense to get on the good side of the bartenders there. The alternate was the Ensemble Lounge. We find that a very relaxing location onboard the ship and enjoy sitting and listening to the talented musicians and have always found the service there exceptional.
  20. @Retired888 Then you simply call or have your husband call and ask for an exemption for yourself claiming a medical condition that prohibits you from consuming alcohol. Should be able to do that over the phone. I do not believe HIPPA permits them to ask for proof of medical justification. Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer or medical professional but am basing this on how I interpret what I read in the HIPPA disclosure that my doctor has me sign.
  21. I am just curious how I missed their announcement about these changes. Until I read the information in the link in post #2, I was totally unaware that any changes were being made. I guess I am not signed up for all the announcements somehow.
  22. If if has been said once, it's been said a thousand times here on CC. The Duty Free Shop onboard is a separate entity from Celebrity Cruise Lines supply channel. Celebrity cannot buy alcohol in the Duty Free Shop for resale onboard. Not sure why people keep bringing this up with regard to alcohol available onboard.
  23. You get Rye whiskey in a Manhattan.
  24. It was called "Drinks and more" and it is no longer being offered.
