  1. My CC charges went through just fine- no indication of foreign transaction fee
  2. On my Mer last Nov there was a rather large group (400ish) from China. The guides were doing their best to remind members to not cut in line at the buffet. Regarding fruit- it was interesting to watch when grapes were set out- Gone in 2 minutes! Pot- smelled some around the pool- not awful.
  3. Recently I had a few interactions with MSC customer service- phone calls and emails. Disconnections/Hang ups and emails not replied to and promised phone calls didn't happen. Things were not resolved but I just gave up. MSC sent me a CS survey that I responded to this morning- with basic facts and less than average on the sliding scale. Imagine my surprise when I received a call this afternoon from a very nice lady in Switzerland. She said my survey was flagged and that she had looked into my booking history for this cruise; and she was concerned. I gave her the facts and she agreed that MSC CS had not handled the situation correctly and that the individuals involved will receive retraining. She apologized and asked if there was anything she could do to assist me with this booking. I said I was all set and just wanted to put this rather negative experience behind me- and in the future use a TA. She then went on to explain that MSC is making a concerted effort to step up their game regarding CS and partnering with TA to help make cruising with MSC more enjoyable in the USA. That is good news!

  9. Could I ask for a tea service in the lounge on the first sea day?? Not the full tiered set up- just a pot and scones/fixings?
  10. Agreed- it is finding the "MSC knowledgeable travel agent that gives...on board credit' I've asked a few friends and their TA's give nothing.
  11. Does the 1 free change include a price reduction? if so will that work for YC also? My quandary: I want to book now, as exactly what I want is available, but will also be on board Memorial day do might get better deal with Mday sale and/or onboard booking credit- but desired cabin might be gone. (I don't have a TA yet- am hoping to talk with other folks on this cruise to get input on that)
  12. Hmmm I've heard others say they have left this to the butler and returned from dinner to a very organised cabin. Oh I hope this is remedied soon- I sail the end of the month- first time YC and SO looking forward to a smooth stress free voyage. 🀞 πŸ™
  13. Wondering if anyone has used the rental car shuttle from the MSC dock to the Rental car location - JUST to get to the other side of the bridge- NOT to rent a car???
  14. On the MSC website- When I do a test booking without logging in to my MSC account (that has my Voyagers club account) it shows price$. When I do the same test booking while logged in it shows the same price$. Why is it not showing the discount for voyagers? TIA

Meraviglia- Top19 Attendant & towel service πŸ™‚ Side area only separated from public space by posts and belt barriers whirlpool βœ”οΈ temporary bar βœ”οΈ 2 'conversation/relaxation areas' (coffee table, love seat & 2 chairs- w/pads) where folks camp out all day overlooks main pool (watch big screen & games) Has its own music but is drowned out by main pool speakers (so why?) Though it was supposed to be adults only- but not. One side was smoking area Aurea in general My time dining in own dining roomπŸ™‚ Nicely scented room diffuser πŸ™‚ slippers and robe (both kinda small size) Special embarcation line (only slightly faster)

  19. From most of the reviews/pictures I've seen for Mer/YC balcony cabins, the couch is by the balcony, so bed by bath. Has anyone had a bed by the balcony?? Usually the position is flipped every other cabin but it doesn't seem that way in YC. Thanks
