We have been up since 5.30am, getting final bits sorted ready for the removal company doing the final packing then moving us out. A busy few weeks ahead now, a skip arrives at our new place in the morning and the builders/plasterers/electricians/ plumbers etc start work tomorrow. Have a good weekend everyone Michelle
  2. Glad your recovery has been quick, a new lease of life for you. Six weeks away in the winter sounds perfect to me, it will be here in no time at all Michelle

  7. Good afternoon everyone, hope you are all well today. A busy week for me this week, I am dreading it. I have a follow up mammogram appointment this afternoon following my DCIS diagnosis earlier this year, hopefully everything will be ok. We are moving house this week, packing is getting done tomorrow then they will leave us with the basics until we complete on Friday. I feel very un-prepared Michelle

  10. Thank you for your review, it all sounds very promising, sounds like we would like it. Were the entertainment and shows good? I have subscribed to their emails/ brochures to see what’s on offer there. Going to Warners Nidd Hall on 20 Dec, taking the in-laws, they haven’t done a Warners break before. Michelle
  11. I am sure he will, if not he might be doing the washing up!!! We are out for lunch on Christmas Day and we have had to pay in advance and make our menu choices Michelle
  12. Good Morning everyone, it’s a dull and cloudy day here today unfortunately. Just been doing a few “jobs” at home this morning, sorting out dog insurance which has just jumped by 40%, sorting out Christmas presents ready to take to parents to hide and other various bits of correspondence. It is our ladies coffee morning Christmas Night out tonight so looking forward to that Michellr
  13. As long as you can open the wine!!! That’s the main thing!! Hope you have a lovely time on Christmas Day Michelle
  14. Does this also excuse you from helping cook Christmas dinner? Or will you be fully recovered in time? And what about opening the Christmas sherry??
  15. If i only have a few things I don’t mind using the self serve tills but I I have more I like to use the “proper” tills. Having to use a mobility scooter too makes it difficult to use the self serve tills as there is not usually much room. Booths has recently got rid of all their self serve tills. Michelle
  16. You seems to be having a hard time at the moment, I feel for you. i don’t think there is really anything else I can add to what has been said already apart from make use of any offers of help. My mum is going the same way. She will be 90 in July and still lives independently. I go to see her every day and take her out somewhere most days. However she has macular degeneration that is getting significantly worse now, she can’t read, can’t see what food she is looking at in the supermarket but she can see distance like she might read a car number plate to me. She has one of those cord ring bells in case of an emergency. Take care Michelle
  17. A sad time for you all Josy and I cannot imagine what it’s like for you all. But also a time to remember many happy times with them and to celebrate their lives. I will be thinking of you all Michelle
  18. Good morning everyone. Can’t believe it’s Monday again, where do the weeks go? We have not had any snow here and I can feel it feels warmer in the house this morning. I have to be at the dog groomers for 8.30 (not me the dog - although I bet my hubby thinks I look a bit of a dog sometimes) then it’s back home for coffee and Xmas present wrapping. Have a nice day Michelle
  19. I used to live in Langanpreising a village in Bavaria about 20 mins from Munich airport. We used to get lots of snow in winter, there were snow poles each side of the road to lead you out of the village but in the summer it was very warm with outdoor swimming pools everywhere Michelle
  20. We have just come down the M6 on the way back from Whitley Bay, not a great journey but we are home IMG_0296.mov
  21. Hopefully we will see you on Arvia in March for a drink or two Michelle
  22. Hope you have a fabulous cruise on Azura over Xmas. We are moving on 15 Dec, going to an Airbnb for a few nights then to Nidd Hall (Warners) for a couple of nights. Furniture been delivered 23/12 so we will be in a mess this Xmas. The house needs immediate work that’s why we are not moving in straight away. Fortunately we are going out Xmas day and at daughters Boxing Day Michelle
