  1. Morning everyone, it’s dull and breezy here today. Just dropped my car in for an MOT and then bern for my Covid booster jab, had the flu jab last week. Had Pfizer this time, not had that before. Not doing much rest of the day, I have got a pile of filing/ sorting paper work so I might make the effort with that. Its supposed ti get very windy here by lunchtime so the garden will look a mess again when the leaves and apples start falling off. Have a good day everyone and take care Michelle
  2. Thank you Graham, I will show her this when I see her on Saturday Michelle
  3. Happy birthday!!! Hope you have had a lovely day. It’s my granddaughter’s birthday today too, she is 6. I have been over to Yorkshire to see her Michelle
  4. Hope you are not too ill and only have mild symptoms and recover quickly Michelle
  5. We are already half way through a tin of quality street, you have to make sure they taste the same as last year don’t you….. Michelle
  6. It would be much cheaper now, I paid just short of £2200 for a standard balcony cabin near the front of the ship, that would be much cheaper now. It is what it is, we all have choices to suit us. What is acceptable for one is not acceptable for another, that’s life and different expectation levels. Michelle
  7. I still have our dinner menus from 2011 on our first cruise on Oceana to the Fjords. It is definitely different. Would it stop me cruising? Absolutely not, love cruising so much Michelle
  8. Good afternoon everyone, hope you are all ok. It is pretty miserable here today and is raining at the moment. I have forced myself to go the gym this morning and just celebrated with a toffee crisp, probably not ideal but it tasted great!! Not doing much else today, my mum is coming this afternoon and staying for tea. Have a good day everyone Michelle
  9. That is such a lovely post and great photos. Excellent news about your health too Michelle
  10. Happy Anniversary to you both!! Lovely photos. Only been to Liverpool once and that was to get a passport, it looks well worthy of another visit Michelle
  11. I know, the poor animals, however our dog just isn’t bothered at all but our previous dog was terrified. I think they compete by country, it’s Switzerland next Saturday, they do it every other weekend. Think it’s an annual thing so what with the Illuminations and the fireworks it’s quite bright and sparkly in Blackpool at the moment Michelle
  12. Of course the come to grandma’s to be spoiled, have dinner and chocolate!! Knitting and learning how to crochet are secondary!! We have ours next weekend, so I know I will be shopping for treats this week and planning things to do. World Fireworks championships in Blackpool next Saturday night so we will go to that Hope everyone is ok today, have a good weekend. We are decorating or rather hubby is decorating and I am keeping it all tidy and cleaning up Michelle
  13. I have just requested a Potters Brochure, looks interesting Michelle
  14. We have two Warner breaks booked, one in Dec at Nidd Hall where John Martin (comedian) is on. We have seen him before, he is very funny without been rude or offensive. We are taking the in-laws as their joint birthdays and Christmas pressie. The second one is at Heythrop Park with my mum next September. Never been to the Cotswolds so looking forward to that. As neither set of parents will cruise this is a good alternative Michelle
  15. Good afternoon everyone, well I have just been out with the dog and got drowned in a heavy rain shower, got a rather soggy doggy now, she hates the rain. Going to the gym soon then the dreaded supermarket shop to do. Michelle
  16. Glad to hear you are doing well Kalos. They did the same for me last year, I was put on a “virtual ward” at the hospital, I had to submit my oxygen level readings via an app every three hours and a Dr rang me every day. They would have admitted me if my levels fell below 94%, fortunately it didn’t but excellent service. Michelle
  17. You sound to have some lovely trips book for your wife’s 60th birthday. It is my 60th too next year in August and my mum in 90 in July so we have booked a Warner’s holiday with her as she doesn’t want to cruise or fly Michelle
  18. So sorry to hear this news Josy, life can be so unfair at times Michelle
  19. Sorry to hear things might not work out for you but….. if this is any help I still have my booking in the cabin next to yours(not cancelled the booking yet as MIGHT move it when new bookings open next month) with a TUI flight at 11.05 out of Manchester on 16/3. You would just need to check if there were any PE seats left in this flight first. I can discuss further if you are interested and give my your email. I don’t know how to contact anyone privately on CC My hubby was looking forward to the pole dancing lessons!! Michelle
  20. I re-booked because the balcony cabin prices were cheaper than when I originally booked by quite a lot. I was hoping for a TUI flight, she told me it would be a TUI flight during the booking which I was pleased about. Michelle
  21. We are on the same cruise as you and were in the next cabin to you but flying out on 16 March from Manchester. This week I have re-booked the cruise losing a small deposit and re-booked for only £180 more into a balcony cabin with the same onboard credit. It is showing TUI flights (TUI162) at 11.35. Maybe this would be an option if it’s still available? Hope you can get something sorted Michelle
  22. That is such good new for you Josy, I hope I get the same results as you in December Michelle
  23. We have a Booths about 5 min walk away, do shop there for some things but definitely not everything, they are too expensive. They do lovely Christmas food Michelle
  24. Sorry to hear you are not so good at the moment Kalos, hope you feel better soon. We all are missing your posts Michelle
