  1. Did you like the Firenze? It looks really nice on the YouTube ship tours I have seen.
  2. Seems like Carnival has had more trouble with arrivals since they switched to Cabo being the last stop instead of first. I won't book 7 day cruises this way, leaving Cabo at 2:30 PM is lame imho! When PV is the last stop they have 2 full sea days to get back.
  3. Does anyone know what is on deck 11 in place of Cucina del Capitano and Jijis like on the Panorama? The deck plans just show a grey area with nothing listed.
  4. They did pretty much everything that was done to the Pride with the exception of leaving the card room (some call it the library) intact and creating the Adventures store on deck 3 instead.Poor Legend lost two hot tubs, by the seaside theater and the nice indoor gym hot tub!
  5. Fair enough but as a stock CCL is Carnival Corporation and that is the way I have always interpreted CCL.
  6. Their website would suggest that it is owned by CCL just like Princess is owned by CCL and Holland America. To me CCL is Carnival Corp, the parent company to all of these.
  7. I agree Carnival has the right to do whatever they see fit. However, blaming this on the "casino" is just a game of semantics. Is the Casino not owned by CCL?
  8. I agree Carnival is great with St Jude's. But this was more than just a loss of the 25 dollar casino credit. This was a coordinated move to dilute the VIFP benefits which is their perogative like I said. The donation at entrance to diamond disappeared at the same time so it is what it is.
  9. It was previously listed on the VIFP benefits chart. Maybe someone around here has a copy of the benefits from prior to recent changes.
  10. They are separate limits. The Princess gift cards aren't considered premium so they count against your general limit of 5 gift cards per month which includes all the different types restaurant etc. The Carnival ones are premium and don't affect the 5 count on regular cards.
  11. It is no longer listed on the benefits page of the VIFP club so it is safe to say it may be gone? Or was that line deleted by accident?
  12. It is Carnival's prerogative to do what they want but taking money away from the kids of St Jude's with the one time donation at entrance to diamond level is a bit much. So I guess the cut made by the "casino" just happened at the same time as the platinum drink dilution and the St Jude's cut by mere coincidence.
  13. Not necessarily, I believe they use them for casino deals also. So it may still have gambling value.
  14. So these are the brilliant changes to the VIFP program that has been the talk of the town?
  15. Winner winner chicken dinner! It's not like you will be called to guest services, they can just make your sail and sign card just not work for purchases! If you use a CC then they will put a hold of 100 dollars for 3-6 day cruises and anything longer will be a 200 dollar hold.
  16. I give this thread revival of the year!
  17. In the past they have renewed around March for cruises thru July the following year but this time they went to December of this year. I suspect it will be renewed in the fall from now on. Makes it easier to do it on a calendar year basis from Jan to Dec imho.
  18. When prices get too high you vote with your wallet. Alcohol is unbelievably overpriced. It has worked out well getting older and drinking less.
  19. You just have to be able to document that you own 100 or more shares of CCL. I carry mine in my Roth IRA and it works just fine. You only need the app to submit your proof to get the OBC through Stockperks.
  20. Legend is in dry dock now, coming out at the end of the month.
  21. Likely your agent bought you the cruise cash. I have some bookings with my big box agent that give me 100 per person which is an actual obc but it is use it or lose just like cruise cash so there is no difference really.
  22. I think you are correct. It used to be if you didn't leave your pool towels in the room you ended up with a 20 dollar per towel charge that came via email a month or so after the cruise.
  23. On my 14 day Alaska cruise I would venture to say quite a few towels went unused 😉 . Who doesn't love a Cutback thread. It keeps the page count hits high for CC 🤣. You are right though, the logistics would not be good to go to towel hut only. I am just a bit sore from getting two different demand letters over the years via email to pay for pool towels from my room. I wouldn't dream of taking one of those mostly ratty beat up blue towels.
