  1. Literally just 5 minutes ago while checking I was able to put a hold on a Connecting Balcony on deck 8 for that sailing. $6300 for 14 nights. I have been looking for a few days. Have another cruise 8 nighter booked for the same time, Have to decide which cruise we really want to take. This 14 nighter is pretty different though.
  2. It took a long time of thought, nothing was rushed deciding what we wanted and the look we wanted. First started wanting to redo the fireplace and then that led to wanting to get rid of the wall to have an open concept room that would blend in together the kitchen and living/ tv area. This is how it was: Then it was determining if that wall was load bearing or not. Once we found out it wasn't then the real planning started. That door to the right in the picture below was a walk-in pantry, so then we had to have a design to make sure we had a enough cabinets for the pantry, So between what you all ready seen and the high cabinet by the microwave and then the coat closet turning that into more storage space we should be fine, plus we have a additional cabinets space for dishes and pots' and pans in the island which we never had before since our old island was so tiny.
  3. Interesting sailing, looks to be sold out. I'm sure My Wife would be interested in that one. Right now we have a Bermuda Cruise(8 nights) booked for the same time. Cost of the Greenland sailing(14 nights) though would probably cost twice as much if we could find a cabin, plus another $200 to change cruises.
  4. Yes, all the lower cabinets around the stove and all the cabinets around the the island have the same pullouts. No pullouts on the cabinets over by the microwave (wall) area because those cabinets are only 18 inches deep. There are 5 pullouts in the pantry cabinet I showed a picture of. The top high shelves are just regular shelves......If we had pullouts that high we wouldn't really be able to see in them any, would be pretty much over my Wife's head. She is only 5ft tall. The silverware drawer is neat too, it has 2 levels. Spice rack drawer is cool too. Top level slides over the bottom level.
  5. The Door straight go downstairs to the In-Law Suite where we have been doing all our Cooking and having dinners while the reno was going on. Downstairs is completely finished. Not sure maybe @Sea Dog can make out the picture(poster) on the wall it is Johnny Depp, Pirates of the Caribbean 🙂 This door to the left goes to the garage, the garage is directly behind where the stove is now. It's a 2 car garage with my Wife's car and My Golf Cart. My truck is out in the driveway. This used to be a coat closet, but we are going to use it for additional storage plus we had electric sockets installed in the back wall of the closet where we plan to make Coffee and Brew Ice Tea in there. So those 2 items will not be on any of the counters. The Painters are coming here Friday to paint that closet and do touchups at various spots around the rest of the room. After the painters are done , our contractor will install more wire shelving in there for us. The wire shelving is from the original Pantry we had in the old kitchen that was about where the present fridge is at now. The metal box in the bottom right corner is the back of the return air box, has a grill facing into the kitchen under the microwave. Had a chance this morning to bring up all the pantry items we had downstairs in my work shop on rolling carts. Nice to have my workshop back again without being such a mess.
  6. IVY HILL TILE https://www.homedepot.com/p/Ivy-Hill-Tile-Catalina-Vanilla-3-in-x-6-in-Polished-Ceramic-Subway-Wall-Tile-5-38-sq-ft-case-EXT3RD101720/206496899
  7. Wife picked them both..............she wanted a Copper Range Hood too but the Prices for those were crazy high....so to offset the cabinets around the stove we went with the same wood the island was made out of. We think it still looks great. I was a little leery to with here picking a black countertop........but it looks great too. Not sure you can see it in the pics but with the lights dimmed, you can walk around the countertop and it sparkles. We had them put dimmer switches on ALL the lights. Really softens the look and makes the whole room inviting rather then super bright lighting like we used to have. We have 12 can lights in the room, some we added and some we did away with...........and 8 hanging lights, various kinds, pendants, chandeliers etc. Again all with dimmer switches. Pantry cabinet by fridge.
  8. Felt we needed the large island so we could have full size cabinets even on the back side of the island for extra storage space. We even have a cabinets in the center of each end of the island......Counter top is 6' x 10' has an 1 ' over hang on the one end so we can puts some stools on that end. So Cabinet space underneath is like 9' wide on the back side there is 3 cabinets , 3 ' wide 2 ' deep, all have pull our drawers or shelves for easy getting stuff in and out of.
  9. I know you are thinking of that white return air duct grate right? It doesn't stand out as much in person as the pictures show. I'm sure eventually we will do something with it.
  10. Saw the first Eagles Score in the 1st quarter at my Aunt and Uncle's house in Bradenton and then all of the 2nd half after the airport lounge in Clearwater.. We boarded as the game ended or fights ended however you want to call the end of the game.
  11. Remodel is just about done, just a few things left to do before the final payment is due. Still waiting for that drawer front for under the microwave. One wall where the TV still needs a second coat. Plus some touch ups where workers touched their hands here and there. After the painting is done they have some wire shelving to install in the closet by the garage door. It took a long time but well worth the wait, we got it exactly the way we wanted it. Might bring up some of the pantry items from downstairs and relocate them upstairs where they belong............This weekend unloading all the boxes with dishes in them that we packed away many, many months ago.
  12. My Wife has been fine. Was overly concerned about her on this trip but it was me that really got sick. Arrived on Friday, did the parks Saturday, Sunday , Monday and Tuesday. After getting back to our room around 10pm my stomach really started to feel bad. Diarrhea was first to start, and then severely sick to my stomach. The worse I have ever been sick to my stomach. Chills and hot back and forth. Not until around 3am did I stop being sick to my stomach. Next day was about 85 degrees in the parks and I was much to weak and not feeling right to walk around in the Parks on Wednesday. The plan was to leave for Bradenton on Thursday Morning for my Aunt or Uncle's house or do a partial park day on Thursday before driving down. Still couldn't do that so we extended our stay at Bonnet Creek, but had to move from a 2 bedroom unit to the 3 bedroom unit. Check out now Friday Morning to move down to Bradenton. Still wasn't feeling great, so our park visit's ended on Tuesday Night even though we still had 1 day left on our park tickets. Got to Bradenton around Noon time on Friday, still felt like crap and still couldn't do much. My Aunt and Uncle wanted to drive us around and see things but I just couldn't do it. Still had diarrhea issues. Flew home at 7pm on Sunday Night, arrived in Roanoke at 8:30pm. Still not eating much and still not feeling anywhere near 100%. I believe I either caught some kind of virus or it was food poisoning from either Joe's Crab Shack near Celebration on something we ate at France in the Countries at Epcot. I mentioned to my Wife after coming out of Joe's Crab Shack is smelled like throw up in there......So maybe that is where I caught something. Friday to Tuesday Night we had a great time, after that not so much. Next trip not until a cruise in September. Hope to make it up to her for me ruining this vacation. She does tell me today she wants me to look for tickets to go see ColdPlay, believe they are coming to Charlotte, NC which is about 2 hours from us. Forgot to say. I also took a Covid Test, It was Negative on Thursday.
  13. Sounds like how our Aunt and Uncle kept house last week when we were in Bradenton. Just uncomfortable to sleep or wear long pants during the day. They are used to it, we weren't. Prunes love it. 🙂
  14. yes, could be a big difference when taking tours., never know.
  15. How can you even sleep under the covers when its set inside at 79 degrees.............no such thing as dry heat inside the house is there? 79 degrees is 79 degrees inside your house. Do you at least have a ceiling fan running?
  16. Was mostly commenting on the (heat) on this portion of your cruises Venice - Rome, June 20 - Jul 1 Rome - Barcelona, July 1 - July 10 Barcelona - Southampton, July 10 - July 26 I do know though where we hope to be in May 30th 2024 on Jewel of the Seas 12 Nights from Amsterdam Norway cruise followed by Celebrity Equinox: 9-Night Western Mediterranean Cruise from Barcelona to Rome on June 13th 2024.
  17. I know what you are talking about, just got back from visiting relatives in Bradenton Florida. 85 degrees outside, and they set their inside thermostat at 74-75 degrees and they were complaining they were cold............We were sweating trying to sleep at night, it was terrible. At home we usually set our thermostat at 67 degrees 🙂 Will not catch us in Europe in July or August
  18. We might be interested in those too if those dates were not in the Dead of Summer there where it will be really uncomfortably HOT! Might be less if some over do it. 😉
  19. Must not be selling as well as they have hoped. This is probably better to give more people chances of doing the actually legs they want that are more appealing to them.
