Formbyblue:
Wondering why you have not signed up on the Explorer "roll call" site?
Some information there that might interest you.

In the past we have done the self laundry fiasco a few times. Now that we have some free ship laundry
done that a couple of times. But must say. After doing our own,and having black slacks come back
light grey and so starched that they could stand up by themselves, we have finally learned to bring things
that we can wash either in the sink our in the shower and stomp on them. LOL. Hang them up to dry and
ready for use in a few hours.
Do have a portable steamer we take that does help to touch up some items, but most are wrinkle free.
Doing this also really helps keep us from over packing.
Well that and finally watching and realizing the "professional" cruisers bring about 4 outfits for 7 day cruise.
5 for 10, 6 or 7 for 14 etc.

Thanks Neil. Appreciate the offer but we used UBER in Miami
once from downtown (Bubba Gump's) to our Embassy Suites hotel
and it worked great.
My question about MIA airport is how difficult it is to meet up with UBER driver.
-
Flying into MIA and would like someone's opinion on using UBER
from the airport to Grand Beach Hotel Surfside.
At MIA airport where do you meet up with the UBER driver?

I have it listed at 8:00 pm MST tonight on PBS - NOVA
Have DVR set to record it.

Since most of our excursions seem to be around 8 am and La Veranda is
almost always full we just go outside on the pool deck and have fruit, cereal,
coffee, rolls, that are waiting there for you with no lines or hassle.
Well other than trying to operate the fancy coffee machine. LOL

Have been on a number of Regent cruises where there were children on board.
Only time we really noticed them was around the pool. Though well behaved
problem was they pretty much took over the pool and few if any adults would even
attempt to get in. Same with hot tubs.
On one cruise a gentleman finally had enough and told who ever was in charge
to kick all the kids out of the pool area so adults could use both the pool and hot tub
without yelling, screaming, jumping, splashing going on. After discussions and the Captain
getting involved that is exactly what they did. Course this only lasted that afternoon and everything went back to the way it was.
Personally I prefer "kids free", but do believe there could be some sort of compromise
such as "kid free days" at the pool deck and Regent has other activities for them.
Hard for Regent since they really don't do activities for kids but maybe it is possible.
Hate to see families not consider Regent during the summer and holidays because of this
but have seen it a problem in the past.

We were in Tahiti on the Mariner and were able to go over to the Paul Gauguin
when it was still part of Regent.
Since we had also been on the PG before we played tourist guides to two other couples
which was fun.

Had a cruises we were hoping for and did not happen.
October 2018 Montreal to Miami on the Mariner and they moved it to Navigator so NO deal for us.
-
Received a nice large book in the mail Thursday and it had the 2018 and some 2019 cruises.
Not on the web site yet so they may not be available until the 25th
-
Huh? I don't understand your comment poss?
October 28, 2018 on the Seven Seas Navigator.
-
Received a book today with 2018 and some 2019 cruises.
Disappointed when I saw the October 2018 Montreal to Miami cruise will be
back on the Navigator. Was hopping for the Mariner.
Not sure I can get Jan B to go on the Navigator again. Have my work cut out for me.
-
In 2007 on board the Mariner for the start of Amazon cruise our ship met up with the Voyager beginning a world cruise at Princess Caye. No that is not a typo. Princess Caye
which Regent rented.
While on the island everything was included just like being on the ship. Even all the toys etc.
Find it weird that they are charging you on Harvest Caye.

We have finally learned to cut back on the packing.
Started wearing them same thing 2 or 3 times on a cruise.
Nobody cares and it sure helps on the packing.

I agree. Normally we do CR for lunch where it is more relaxing.
Was worried about Explorer when I heard CR was not open for lunch.
As long as there is someplace to go other than pool deck and buffet
we are in good shape.
We do pool deck once in awhile but prefer inside.

While on our Explorer Miami to Venice cruise March 26th, 2017
Hoping that Regent will have the September / October 2018
itineraries. Like to do "on board booking" for Montreal to Miami
if available and on the Seven Seas Mariner.
-
I agree the list is a little weak but at least it
gives you a general idea.
I just appreciate someone posted it.
-
I found the liquor list and bumping it up to the front.
It is the # 15 post.
-
Some where on this Regent site someone posted a liquor list of brands you
can ask for in your cabin but can not find it right now.
I made a bunch of copies of it and take a couple with me on each cruise.
Fill it out and give it to our cabin attendant and have always received a bottle
of what we both would like. Wife Grey Goose and me Crown Royal.
I am sorry to say that I do not like any types of beer except Coors Light, Bud Light,
or Miller Light, so ask them to remove the beer in the refrigerator and replace
it with one of these. ( micro beer companies would go out of business with me around).
Gosh. With what I am writing you would think I drink like a fish. Actually
it is just nice to have them in our cabin so when we are relaxing on our veranda
or just coming back from a excursion, or just a little down time we have what we want
available.
I found the posting and bumped it up. It is the # 15th post.

Working with a TA that does a lot of bookings with Regent
is not a hassle. In fact it is just the opposite.
And like others said. You will save money over doing your own booking.
-
Pick a TA that works with Regent.
Preferably one that does a lot of business with Regent.
It will defiantly be worth while to you.
-
Hope you are using a TA that works with Regent which can be helpful.
We have used Regent Air a number of times with very good luck.
They work with most of the larger airlines but do have a few they don't.
I look at airline schedules for the dates I would like.
Pick two or three that would work for us. Then have our TA send it to
Regent Air for us requesting one of the three in order of preference.
Only once were we not able to get first choice.
Once we have received a copy of the reservations I immediately look
at the confirmation code and or reservation number to check the seats
assigned to us. If I don't like them I move them.
Doing it this way does helps you control it.
-
Go to the Regent Roll call site on Cruise Critic and find your cruise.
Then see if someone has set one up or you can do it if not.

Spindrift:
Yes I have my tickets for the 23rd and April 19th
Just as soon as I had the confirmation from Regent Air on our VCE to DEN business air
I immediately went to the United site and booked our BIL to DEN to MIA flight going on the 23rd and our DEN to BIL flight back on the 19th.
What I dislike is when landing at DEN we will have to pick up our luggage and go back to
the ticket counter and TSA because it is a new flight and not continuing flight.
Other than that hassle have plenty of time between the 3:30 pm arrival and 8:30 pm flight to BIL.
Since I am on my own getting to MIA there was no deviation. Which we could have not gotten anyway since Regent Air does not recognize BIL as even a secondary Gateway City.
Really all inclusive?

I don't know what it is but Closet shrinkage is a real serious problem for clothes.
Must be a manufacturing problem. .
