  1. We started with $1400 in combined Bar Tab and Sailor Loot, now down to $494. Today is going to be a TREAT YO'SELF kind of day. 🤗
  2. You had asked previously what night they have butter chicken in the Galley. Not sure if you'll see it on my live, so coming here to tell you it's tonight!
  3. Today's dilemma - today's procurement of the daily paper schedule shows that the butter chicken and beef wellington are both tonight's dinner specials at the Galley. I've been waiting all week for butter chicken to make an appearance, and here it finally is, on the last night. The dilemma is that we have reservations at Extra Virgin, which is my fav restaurant on the ship. 😩 We did already get to EV on the first night, but it's kind of my tradition to also close out the sailing with EV. Ughhhh what to do, what to do. Unfortunately I don't think it's as simple as two dinners, as I really can't eat that much and we have a pretty packed evening schedule.
  4. It's our last full day on the ship! We are in St Kitts today, but hubby and I will be staying onboard. We've been to St Kitts before and are in more of a mood for a ship day than a port day. We have our thermal spa reservations in an hour. If you've made it this far and are still following along, thank you! It has been so much fun.
  5. Spent some time in the arcade, then played Mouse Trap! Nostalgia at its finest. Now, Duel Reality.
  6. Martinique was great, our tour was amazing and it was a really fun day. Now we're back on board, and right now is the SOR cocktail hour. It's at the Athletic club, free flowing bubbles and sangria, and live music.
  7. Good morning from Martinique! Scarlet Night last night was so fun! It was so hot and humid, but everyone still had a great time. We have an excursion planned for today in Martinique and we're some of the very few up and about on the ship right now. I'm guessing most partied the night away and will join the land of the living at a later time.
  8. No, unfortunately I don't think so. It was marketed as fried chicken with no mention of accommodation for vegetarian.
  9. The Wake for dinner! Food was great, service sucked. My fav lemon cheesecake was fab, as always.
  10. Bubbles and Fried Chicken! This was another paid event, this time at Razzle Dazzle. Simon the Foodie made a brief appearance at the outset, but it was fully run and presented by John the sommelier. I'll say that we enjoyed it, but it's not the type of chill/laid back/casual experience of Shot for Shot or Plate, Snap, Eat. This was very much an educational experience about champagne, which for us was all stuff we already know (we're very well versed in the production process of champagne/sparkling wine and its history lololol). The presentation itself was pretty dry, pun intended, but the bubbles more than made up for it. Being poured was Moët, Veuve Clicquot, and Dom Perignon, all paired with fried chicken. I've read recent reports that the RD fried chicken was dry and inedible, but this was good and a fun pairing. Perhaps they save the edible batches for paid events. 😆 I can say that I certainly was not expecting this calibre of wines being poured, it was a very pleasant surprise. We even got seconds of everything, including the Dom! Cheers! 🥂🍾🍾🍾
  11. A random woman walking by just stopped and asked if she could take a picture of me lounging here and reading to send to her friend who has never cruised and is afraid of getting seasick and hates the sun. My relaxation must be palpable. 😆
  12. Hubby is off to play in a poker tournament, and I'm going to continue holding down the fort on the big bed thing in the corner of the Dock House. I love this spot!
  13. It's humid AF outside. I'm not going out there, humidity and I not friends. Yuck.
  14. You must! I only ever get it once per voyage because I never do Wake breakfast/brunch more than once per week, but I look forward to it so much!!
  15. It's looking pretty gray and dreary out there. Fun fact, over the course of my previous Med and Caribbean VV sailings, I've never experienced the Scarlet Night pool party because it has always been moved indoors due to adverse conditions/weather. I was extremely hopeful that this would be the sailing to break the streak, but it's not looking promising. Keep your fingers and toes crossed for me, sailors!
  16. Crepe cake for dessert! This is one of my fav desserts on the ship, it never disappoints. 😋
  17. In our case we did it knowingly, it just wasn't ideal but needed to happen lol. We had it booked for the first sea day, but had to reschedule due to a conflict with Plate, Snap, Eat. Today was the only other day we could reschedule for, et voila, here we are. I'm sure there will be no regrets later, either!
  18. French toast and steak and eggs. I always get steak and eggs here, but went with the French toast this time. Luckily hubby got the steak and eggs so I still got a bite. Both were yum!
  19. Poached shrimp to start. The shrimp was perfectly poached and flavors were great.
