  1. The Covid emergency ends, Paxlovid will not be free in the US. It will cost you, or your insurance will pay for it. Currently, in the US, Paxlovid is subsidized by the US government. Not sure why people think the US government should be subsidizing it on cruise ships.
  2. The Open seating probably will start as early as 5pm, but more likely 5:15. Traditional will be 5:15 or 5:30. Not sure where you got 6:45 for open seating. No way that is correct.
  3. Just an FYI, Cruise Critic has a policy about recommending someone or something you haven't actually used. Never heard of this company, seems pretty solid based on your info, but just a little worried about their over confidence .
  4. Used safes in hotels all over the world without any problems. Could you provide a link to the thread, so we can evaluate the issue? Sometimes people misinterpret what the issue is.
  5. It's not a long walk...certainly not a mile.
  6. You read the many other threads here about crab seasons being closed, most crab (except Dungeness at this time) being frozen and brought in from outside Alaska?
  7. We always try to inform our waiters if we are missing a MDR meal for a specialty restaurant.
  8. A quick search of the board:
  9. You could Google search a couple of your ports for average temps in May. For example "Bergen May weather. Been to Alesund twice in July. Barely made it into the 60s one visit, didn't make it the other visit.
  10. You can carry your bags off, or you can claim them ashore. It will be a flat, smooth walk to your car service.
  11. Just a little aside...you are actually getting off the ship on Nov 25.
  12. I think she was actually highlighting that Aruba dock IS NOT in an industrial area.
  13. What ship are you looking at? As mentioned above, some ships only have Neptune Suites on one deck. NO Neptune Suite, on any ship is over or under a theater or other main entertainment venue. Yes...some are over dining rooms or under the Lido Deck. You can look at deck plans to see this.
  14. Princess will tell you closer to the date...perhaps even when you check in at the hotel. It will most likely be 10 or 11am.
  15. Keep in mind, what are commonly called "walkie talkies" are illegal in many countries.
  16. Its all personal preference. There is a good sized thread on the topic, just a couple threads down the board, here:
  17. You can't really tell what is available, only what is unassigned, because you can't see the guarantee bookings, which is what you are buying when you let them pick your cabin. We have done that 4 cruises in a row ( two sailed, two coming up) with no issues.
  18. That would depend on the ship. Zaandam and Volendam's Neptunes are all on the same deck.
  19. Without a car, it's simply a walk around the town and shop sort of place. The Corp of Engineers Bay Model is interesting...probably at the outer range of reasonable walking distance.
  20. Could be on both, depending on the demand.
  21. The forum at the link @ColeThornton gave you is part of Cruise Critic, and just like this one. But it specializes in Italy.
  22. Agree. It depends on the demand for one style or the other. I have seen fixed seating on Deck 2, and we had open seating on the third deck a few times.
