  1. You indicated you needed to know how soon you needed to book the hotel. If you don't need to put down a deposit, nothing should restrict you from booking now. People ask this a lot...you can monitor prices and rebook if cheaper, then cancel the more expensive booking.
  2. Customs, zero time, as it won't be done. Immigration will probably be a quick run past an official with your passport open, if anything.
  3. I don't know about the separate area, but from what I have heard, it's a very big serving...enough for two.
  4. Agree. There are many hotels to choose from, all sorts of qualities. However, there aren't many "near...the cruise port". You want to be in Waikiki. Do a search around this board, there are many threads on the topic.
  5. April of 2025 might be a little far out.... Coco Cay is a "private island" correct? How many ships could be there? You can always Google search Port schedules. I find that the most accurate.
  6. Welcome to Cruise Critic! Have you looked on TripAdvisor?
  7. @princeton123211, the OP is sailing to Sydney. Hawaii is a stop along the way.
  8. What day of the week? Weekends maybe (LAX). Weekdays, wouldn't try LAX.
  9. Have you asked on the NCL board?
  10. There might be the odd place that requires ID. Assuming you are American, I would assume they want to see your passport. Some countries require this for checking into hotels, for example. But,overall, it's rare.
  11. Train. It's call the RER.
  12. Each of those ports, except Nicaragua, have their own ports boards with tons of info on possible activities. Fuerte Amador is covered on this board. Of those, I would snorkel at Aruba.
  13. What a confusing thread! "Can I make a 10am tour", with no indication of what time the Panorama (a Carnival ship) docks. Then there is reference to "another HAL ship" docking and possibly delaying Panorama? Usually cruise ships are scheduled to dock at times that don't interfere with other ships docking.
  14. No Customs in all those situations. Immigration, yes. Customs, no. We sailed Boston to Montreal last September. We turned in a Canadian Customs form before our first Canadian port on day 5 of a 11 day cruise. When we got to Montreal, we simply got off the ship. No Immigration procedures at all. That is why I said there might be any Immigration or Customs procedures at all.
  15. If you aren't putting any money in to it, why not book now?
  16. It looks to me that the fish in the boxes to the immediate rear of the truck are sitting in ice. The one box further away doesn't appear to be iced, but could still be frozen.
  17. As far as scenery, its open seas as you sail over to Catalina. The ferry docks at what is generally the southern end of the small town. The town is very easily walked.
  18. Take an Uber or Lyft. You can make it, but remember you are arriving at FLL in the crush of passengers getting off the ships in Port Everglades as well.
  19. Wise choice for changing your flights. The ground logistics to make a 11:30 flight out of FLL when sailing out of PortMiami are discussed on the Florida Departures board daily. Remember, its a 45 minute or so drive, and you will be arriving in the middle of the crush from Port Everglades. You can do it, but its not going to be a relaxing morning.
  20. The terminal is open from the arrival of the ship that morning. However, check in features won't be open before 10am, maybe 10:30.
  21. This can vary by the demographics of each cruise. Just got off 14 days on Zaandam. It was the latest eating crowd I have ever seen on a cruise. At 5:30, the two dining rooms combined might have been a total of 25% full.
  22. Not in October, when the OP is going to be there.
  23. You don't need the Yellow Fever shot, or any other shot.
