Recently on the Explorer and a fellow passenger was working in the “computer” room, I was in the library/game room. I got a pretty good stock tip as she was working so loud, I could hear every move she was making. Try to work in your stateroom if the internet is good at that location.

You could have collected your in-transit pass and new stateroom card from guest services or loyalty concierge and headed to the city as soon as the ship starts debarking passengers.

Entertainment of Royal is generally very good. With 30+ ships almost up and running, they have a good variety of shows and entertainers. BUT... If you sail on your "home" port ship a lot you seen what that ship has to offer many times. (Navigator for us)

Yes, you may bring the bottle “back to the ship.” You may be able to get the bottle to your stateroom.
Finish the wine while ashore to solve the potential issue.
