We were across the hall from 2 closets and it was a mistake I will never make again. It was not only opening and closing doors early morning but trying to walk back to our room was an obstacle course of carts. It was 2 closets next to each other. One was where they replenished the carts and the other was storing carts. This was not on a Princess ship so walls may have been thinner. I make sure there are no blank spaces around us as well as above and below when I book a cabin. I am also a very light sleeper so that doesn’t help.

Aft or mid-aft is our favorite location. And more walking means more calories can be consumed. There usually are elevators near enough.

Your symptoms sound a lot like food poisoning. Did you ever get a diagnosis? I hope you recovered and the ride home was bearable.

Even the clam shells at Princess Cay went up $10 more.

1. Does the aft elevator go to deck 19? from deck 10? 2. Some youtube videos have a footstool with the balcony furniture on deck 10 cabins and some do not. Is this something I will have to ask for? What has been your experience asking for additional furniture? 3. We always stay aft as we find the back of the ship bars, pools, etc are not a busy. What is your experience with the aft spaces? I was talking about the establishments around here that allows smoking in the assigned areas that are enclosed. If Princess doesn’t have an up-to-date system for smoking, then that is not good. Companies have developed great systems. I am sure that aren’t cheap.

I guess I am a bit spoiled as our state that has 100’s of casino’s and a law that includes anywhere that allows smoking they must be in a separate room with a certain coded exhaust system. I don’t smoke and my DH may have 12 cigars all year, mainly on vacation. So no skin in this except I think Princess is doing this out of $$ not the goodness of health. An arcade is a casino for the young without any luck of winning.

That is what could have been replaced. In RSSC they replaced all filter systems. The exhaust fans were amazing. I would never sit in a place full of any type of smoke.

It’s 2024 and the vent filter systems they installed eliminates smoke quickly. We go to a cognac and cigar bar in the area because we love the bar and I don’t smoke. The bartender we love has worked there 7 years. I guess I didn’t notice that ball and chain that is attached to him.

Per the Princess website: the Reserve Collection does include some extras if you are willing to pay the price. Wasn’t enough to entice us for 1000. more. We were able to get a mid aft balcony on deck 10 (Emerald Princess). We would much rather have the bigger balcony than stateroom and didn’t care for the Dolphin deck.

@HaveDogWillTravel Just reserved a bungalow. We want to be by the water for snorkeling so did not get Sanctuary. I will go to the Excursion desk and ask if 8 is available. Thank you for all the. information.

I am well past my partying days and relaxation is the only reason I would go. There are plenty other places onboard for visiting. We would be fine paying for the other couple if they let four, but I am not going to try and beat people to get one so this is probably a no-go. Both of our jobs are high stress so we try to keep vacation stress at a minimum. When we board I will go up and check and if there is one we will get one, if not, we will enjoy the cruise without one. We can make our own Sanctuary with our opened adjoining balconies. 🙂

And beside you. Years ago before good research, we had the blank space which turned out to be the stewards closets. Early morning noise was my alarm clock. Now no blank spaces across the hall. I am a very light sleeper.

Now I am interested in the Sanctuary Cabana if I don’t have to make a horse race to book them. (I will go first thing but no status so wouldn’t be one of the first) When one rents a cabana is it for your cabin or how many? Those cabanas look large and we are traveling with 2 other couples. I am sure all 6 wouldn’t go but can 4? I thought the loungers were priced for 2. Can we pay for more (4) in a cabana if only priced for 2? That is a lot of space for 2

From looking at renting a bungalow, you can not choose which one ahead of time. Am I missing something?

When I reserved and paid for it, it asked for date. Is that date not guaranteed? It didn’t ask time.

When we were on another line last summer, the cigar room was full and people were buying cigars. I hate smoke but went in the with my husband after dinner and was quite impressed how well the vent system was. I couldn’t see the smoke and it wasn’t a strong smell at all. He only used the room twice and said both times it was full. They only allowed cigars in the room. You could bring your own but most seemed to have bought them there.

@Rick&JeannieFunny you should say that because the first booking of four, private was the only choice. The second booking, sharing was available to click both reserved for Crown Grill. Share was available for me and the other party that went on the app at the same time. You have to love the new app. We will correct it or not when we get on board.

Just an FYI- even though we both have premier package (2 couples-2 cabins), they let me link on specialty dinner for 4 with no charge.Then the app let me reserve for my booking number only with no charge. When I tried to make it for 4 it tried to charge for 2. They made their own the same time and we both said we would share. I will go to the restaurant when we get on to seat us together. We don’t care if we are with others also. All the MDR reservations were able to link without issue.

I booked the Thermal on Emerald because I always use the sauna after a work out but I have heard so many negatives, I am thinking it’s not worth the $$. I hate that as I like to relax in a sauna and relax on the warm chairs. It has always been a great way to get away from the crowd on other cruises.

CC just talked me into surprising my husband with a UBD as we are leaving St Kitts. Thank you @PacnGoNow for the idea of a port evening as we leave at 6p so I will schedule at 530. We are just taking the train tour that day so it will be nice to relax and sit on the balcony. It let me schedule the day but not the time so I guess we do that once on board.
