My daughter used Travel Insurance Direct which resells NIB. They took 5 months to pay a medical claim.

One thing that is very big on Cunard is ballroom dancing and professional dancers. They also have Gentlemen Dance Hosts. I did dance classes everyday which kept me active.

My daughter arrived in Hawaii yesterday. Less than 24 hours later she and her friend hiked up to Diamond Head. Afterwards when she got off the trolley she collapsed and fell backwards hitting her head on the concrete. She entered up being taken to ER my ambulance then put on a drip due to dehydration.

On my last Princess cruise with my then 88 and 92 yr old parents they didn’t take a smart phone. Mum never learnt to use one.

Our top cover doesn’t cover patient transport from a public to private hospital or from hospital to home. Queensland residents get free ambulance cover Australia wide. -

Thanks for that. We will reapply. It would be good to receive the ambulance cover because his health doesn’t cover non emergency ambulance transport from the hospital to the NH -
My dad is 95. When mum passed away 2 years ago he lost his part pension. He is not eligible for the CSHC. He is in a nursing home and pays $3700 a month for the room plus $300 for the chemist bill. He has to keep his private health cover to be covered for ambulance and his 6 week eye injections for macular degeneration which cost $700.

I was on a cruise where one of the entertainers was in a scooter. I moved aside for him when he got in the lift and asked his if he had enough room. Instead of thanking me he ignored me.

Is it difficult to get an ANZ platinum visa when you are a self funded retiree? How about pre existing medical condition coverage? I have quite a few.

It doesn’t worry me not being in Aus dollars. Though when you book on the Aus site you are charged a currency conversion fee as it’s processed in US dollars. I always use my 28 Degrees card. We don’t dress up for theme nights

I passed the virus on to my husband ☹️ most likely before I knew I was positive, because we isolated within our home after my test. He also received the calls from the virtual-COVID ward. This service was fantastic. It gave us confidence that we were OK managing the way we were.
The key recommendations were - rest (listen to your body) and drink plenty of fluids. My daughter and I were out yesterday and someone she knew told her that he had COVID, but he got rid of it by running for extended periods. He had the theory that he "got rid of it out of his body". Wow! She told him that this approach was very dangerous for his heart.
That is excellent service. NSW residents don’t get anything like that. -

There is free parking in Johnston St Annandale which isn’t far from Balmain.

I noticed in the fine print of the Insure and Go they only cover for around 15 days cat rental. That is no good if you are wanting to travel around Europe for a couple of months.

The issue with Fast Cover is that since Covid the don’t do screening for pre-existing medical conditions. So if your condition is not one of the 43 automatically covered you can’t get any cover.
