It was very interesting to watch. @BillB48, thank you for all of the information about how ships are moved through the canal during their transit. I found it very interesting. .

I am so very much not a morning person. No matter how I try to be one it just doesn’t work for me. I love your suggestion! 😂 On the other hand I might stay up for the start of the transit, go have breakfast, then go in and take a nap during the heat of the day. That strategy probably wouldn’t work for most “normal” people but has worked well for me before when very early mornings were necessary.

My surgically repaired legs wouldn’t have done very well with all of that standing either. I will have to keep that in mind if I manage to get a Panama Canal cruise planned.I know those leg cramps all too well.

I’ve seen that saying on tee shirts as well as door signs. Amazon, I’m pretty sure is where I saw them. I have the same problem with cruises that seem to book themselves! 😂 Most of our recent cruises have been on the mega ships. It seemed so strange to see such lower numbers on the most traveled board until I remembered that you were on Adventure. I think I’m about ready to let some of the smaller ships start booking themselves because those smaller ships are just as awesome as the big girls and have a lot more flexibility as to where they can go.

I’m enjoying the little touch of Disney to start your trip, and looking forward to seeing Wonder through your eyes as we’ll be boarding her for our first time in September. We’ve enjoyed sailing on all of the other Oasis class sisters and love all of them so we’re looking forward to our time on Wonder. Our next up though is Allure at the end of this month.

Glad you made it safely to WDW! Flower and Garden is always beautiful there. Reminds me, we need to plan an Epcot run soon. We have yet to ride Guardians. I’m glad to hear that you liked it. From what I’ve heard, I’m sure we will too. Hopefully soon. Enjoy your Disney time. Looks like great weather for your visit.

There actually was a rocket launch tonight. It was scheduled to go up at around 9:22 PM. I didn’t see it myself but our friends have a much better view from their place and they did see it go. You probably could have seen it from the ship. I love your itinerary. Almost wish I’d booked your sailing instead of our Allure B2B at the end of the month. It’s a good thing we love the ship because after numerous changes our itinerary bears absolutely no resemblance to what we originally booked. We’ll have fun anyway. I’m looking forward to following along with you on Adventure. 🛳️

Have you been able to log into the app yet? Many of us, me included, could only log in after we changed our password. Some people are saying they need to change their password more than once. I haven’t had to do that - yet! I’m loving the start of your review! Great pictures from Norfolk!

I really hope I will be able to go on a Galapagos excursion of my own at some point. Unfortunately for me, now is not that time as obligations on the home front need to take priority. That said, your pictures and descriptions gave me a feel for what my future experience might be like and I thank you very much for that. You mentioned that you already have another Galapagos cruise booked. Do you mind sharing when that will be so I can follow along with you rather than months later like I’ve done this time? If I can’t go myself right now then following along with you would be the next best thing! Thanks

I gave in and changed my password. Got into my cruise planner and saw that the price had dropped on an excursion I wanted to buy. Clicked on the purchase tab and got the following message posted below. My guess is that by the time they’re “back soon “ the sale will be long gone.

I couldn’t log in yesterday. Still can’t today. It sure would be nice if someone from corporate would let us know what going on. I’m not getting my hopes up though. I may have to break down and change my password sooner rather than later.

I’m hyperventilating because I’ve done that so many times. 🤣 I really don’t want to change my password but I guess I may have to. 😡 Yes, but I’m starting to wonder how far down the road eventually might be! 🤪😂 I guess they don’t mind that I can’t log in to make cruise planner purchases. 😂

I don’t think I stand much of a chance of getting a clear block on Allure, but I’m planning to ask anyway. If I don’t ask I’ll never know. Glad you were successful in getting yours.

Fortunately I’ve already done everything I want or need to do on the app. Now I’m hoping everything I did on the app stays done because I can’t log in either. With the way things are going I’m not trusting that everything stays as it should. At least we still have a couple of weeks to go before we cruise. Edit - I just tried the website and can’t log in there either. 🤷‍♀️

Wow! I would have been a wreck waiting for the office to open! I’m glad that you were able to get your reservation restored! That cruise being cancelled would have seriously disrupted your plans! Your experience is a good reminder to me as to why I always set my reminders for final payment due at least a week early and recheck the due date frequently. Not that I would ever mix up final payment due dates or anything…..🤣🤪😂🤣🤪😂

Great to see you traveling again, Laurie! I’ve always enjoyed tour trip reports and I’m sure that this one will be just as much fun! DH and I live near WDW but we’ll be getting ready for our own cruise on Allure so I’m not sure if we will be hitting the parks during the time you’re there. If we do and we happen to see you zipping by we will be sure to stop and say hi.

Inquiring minds want to know - which of these ships have shower doors and which have shower curtains? What other little details like this do I need to know about before I book us to sail on one of them? That’s a great shot! We get our first crystal block on our upcoming Allure cruise! Just heard on our local news a while ago that it starts here in Central Florida at 1:46 PM, Max 57% eclipse at 3:03 and wraps up around 4:00 PM.
